I scored the fight 30-27 for Machida. Machida didn't fall for any of Hendo's leg kicks to setup the H-bomb. He was circling away at any sign of that thing coming. Hendo barely landed at all. Well played by Machida.

There were a few moments where I thought Machida was moving away so much, that he could possibly give away the rounds. Ended up giving him every round anyway.

Rousey survived a nasty attempt to smash her face. That **** looked painful.

Edit: Rousey arm bar specialist does it again. Good lord.

I bet you either of those two girls could take on a typical bar bouncer and beat his ass. :ols:

Not sure why everyone things Cyborg would demolish her. Cyborg for how much of a "beast" she has looked like in some of her fights, hasn't exactly displayed out of this world technique or skills. She has usually just overpowered her opponents and smothered them with volume punching.

Again, Gina Carano had her mounted, which usually would spell the end, but Carano just stood up for no reason and let her out of it.

I don't think Cyborg couldn't win, but I don't think she would steamroll by any means.

There is absolutely no chance she man-handles Cyborg or gets her in that position. Cyborg is an well-rounded fighter with devastating stand up, Rousey is an one-trick pony. The fight would be a complete beat down.

Disagree like nocalmike said, Cyborg got mounted by Gina. Also, who knows how Cyborg fights without roids.

Again, no one is claiming Rousey would man-handle Cyborg either. It just seems to be the Rousey hater brigade that feels Cyborg would steam roll her.

Most of the fighters Cyborg has steam-rolled were 135 lb fighters who moved to 145 just for the Cyborg fight because Cyborg needed an opponent. And assuming Cyborg was roiding up to even be a 145 lb fighter, it is not beyond reason to call shenanigans on some of those results.

Technique beats raw strength nine times out of ten.

Tonight went a long way into showing Rousey is not just a one tick pony. Before tonight, you could make that case because most of her opponents could not stop her takedowns or technique from the get-go. Carmouche being the strong wrestler was actually able to hold her own, and get Rousey in some bad spots there for a bit, and then even hold off the Arm bar for a decent amount of time. It shows that Rousey is improving as an MMA fighter rather then just a Judo champion who is taking on women who have no frame of reference as to what they are up against.

I was very interested to see how Rousey would handle her first adversity in a fight, and it's hard to claim she didn't pass with flying colors.

Liz is saying backstage that Ronda bit her during the neck crank to get out of it.

Ronda is saying the crank was across her mouth forcing her mouth piece out.

UFC Post-fight presser should be starting soon.

CONTROVERSY!
