#98QBKiller
Roger Gracie signed with the UFC, supposed to be training with Blackhouse now.He should do good until they match him with someone that won't let him take it to the ground. He's pretty lanky, if he could either get his boxing together or learn to use takedowns he'd be a much more dangerous fighter.
StillUnknown
Dana announced that Kosheck vs. Hendricks is going on the next FOX card. I'm kind of surprised they put that one on FOX, it has the chance to be a real stinker. Hendricks has the better wrestling credentials, but he's a small WW. He's pretty lanky, if he could either get his boxing together or learn to use takedowns he'd be a much more dangerous fighter. I'm hoping he goes back to jiu-jitsu. I want to see him vs. Rodolfo Viera in the world championships. Rodolfo's the only guy in recent memory I can think of that might actually be able to beat him. #98QBKiller
Looks like Paul Harris is getting another leg to take home: http://mmajunkie.com/news/27394/alan-belcher-vs-rousimar-palhares-added-to-ufc-on-fox-3.mma Alan Belcher vs. Rousimar Palhares added to UFC on FOX 3A major middleweight bout between two of the division's most entertaining fighters has been added to the UFC on FOX 3 card. UFC president Dana White today announced that well-rounded Alan Belcher (17-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) meets submission specialist Rousimar Palhares (14-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) at the upcoming event. UFC on FOX 3 takes place May 5 at IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J. The main card, including a Jim Miller vs. Nate Diaz headliner, airs on FOX, and prelims are expected to air on FUEL TV. Belcher vs. Palhares is likely to be part of the FOX-televised main card. Belcher recently returned from a 16-month layoff due to an initially career-threatening eye surgery/recovery and picked up a vicious first-round submission win (due to punches) over Jason MacDonald. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and explosive striker is now 5-1 over his past six fights, and the lone loss came to Yoshihiro Akiyama via close split decision in a "Fight of the Night" performance. Like Belcher, Palhares also carries a three-fight win streak. Most recently, he used a trademark heel hook to submit Mike Massenzio at UFC 142 in Brazil. Aside from a brief mental lapse that prompted a loss to Nate Marquardt in 2010, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt in undefeated in his past seven fights. In fact, his only other career loss came via decision to notable Dan Henderson in Palhares' second UFC fight. The latest UFC on FOX 3 card now includes: Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller Johny Hendricks vs. Josh Koscheck Alan Belcher vs. Rousimar Palhares Pat Barry vs. Lavar Johnson John Hathaway vs. Pascal Krauss John Dodson vs. Darren Uyenoyama Danny Castillo vs. John Cholish Mike Massenzio vs. Karlos Vemola Louis Gaudinot vs. John Lineker Assuming everyone stays healthy, this is going to be a very good free card. lovetoaster
Belcher's underrated, I think he beats Paul Harris. Belcher is underrated, but I think that is a tough fight for him. I don't know who I would pick at this point. Honestly, I am surprised that Paul Harris is being put on Fox, given his tendency for random episodes of lunacy. d0ublestr0ker0ll
Palhares' wrestling is pretty wicked for a Jiu Jitsu guy. He has a fast shot and he eats various trees and rocks throughout the day. Belcher doesn't have a bad ground game, in fact it's relatively good in MMA, but it isn't hard to imagine Palhares ripping anyone's leg off. If he can't secure Belcher on the ground for some sub attempts, he could get tired defending the constant flow of strikes Belcher likes to deal to people. All that muscle while taking accurate shots and working for takedowns will be too much. Palhares always has a submitter's chance, but Belcher has the tools to wear him down as the fight goes on. Belcher's calves are blimps, imagine Harris tearing one of those in half. Would sound like a close lighting strike. StillUnknown
wow Brookins actually knocked someone out. How bad must that guy be? Not really an Ellenberger fan, but hope he beats the breaks off Diego tonight. Diego annoys the hell out of me, this is like the 16th "New Diego Sanchez" we've seen. Chachie
Not really an Ellenberger fan, but hope he beats the breaks off Diego tonight. Diego annoys the hell out of me, this is like the 16th "New Diego Sanchez" we've seen. My sentiments exactly on both counts. I am so sick of Diego Sanchez' schtick. I didn't like him on TUF, I haven't liked him or any of his incarnations since. The Kampmann fight ticked me off. I'm not sure he can be knocked out. BTW- Ellenberger is real good, but I wouldn't go measuring how good by the KO of Jake Shields. Shields wasn't even in the cage, mentally. He was still at his father's funeral. ---------- Post added February-15th-2012 at 08:18 PM ---------- Amazing round. Kudos to both fighters there. Patrick86L
Good fight but what was Albert doing pulling guard then just sat there letting Menjivar take his back. I don't think he gassed in the first round like Anik mentioned.

StillUnknown
Watson's plan off his back seem to involve just wildly throw his legs around. Dilleshaw up 20-16 after 2 rounds. Might be wiser for him to just go with ground n pound since he hasn't finished any of the 50 rnc's he's attempted.
