StillUnknown
with Dana you gotta take the good with the bad. nobody on this earth pushes the sport of MMA like he does or has. By that same token, Dana is not an idiot, he has to understand his words have consequences that go beyond him.
Chachie
Too much going on in the world right now to make a big fuss over some knucklehead cussing out a reporter. I know many will disagree with me here but Dana White is NOT a role model, politician, or law enforcer. Big whoop.

StillUnknown
http://www.mmaweekly.com/blog/2009/04/razor-rob-breaks-hand-books-appointment.asp Former lightweight champion "Razor" Rob McCullough broke his right hand in his WEC 39 fight with Marcus Hicks and has recently underwent surgery to repair the damage. The Huntington Beach native will be out of action nine months, according to a source from his camp who chose to remain anonymous. Good news is, he'll use the time to walk another road to recovery. According to the source, McCullough will join the cast of addiction specialist and TV/radio personality Dr. Drew's new reality show, "Celebrity Rehab: Sex Addiction," which begins filming on Monday. Throughout his career, McCullough has been linked to a number of adult film actresses, most recently, Lexxi Tyler. The two recently called it quits. McCullough isn't the only former member of Team Punishment to hit reality TV. Punishment founder Tito Oritz appeared on the Donald Trump vehicle "Celebrity Apprentice," making it to the ninth week of the show before hearing "you're fired." Former Punishment heavyweight Ricco Rodriguez might even opened the door for McCullough, appearing on the first season of "Celebrity Rehab," where he discussed his battles with drugs and alcohol since losing the UFC heavyweight title to Tim Sylvia. A timetable for McCullough's return to fighting is undetermined at this time, as he is currently boning up on addiction literature. was the final pun necessary? lol
Sebowski
Nick Diaz dropping some knowledge! Listen up peeps. You might learn sumpin'! mmamania.com “Well, people’s problem from what I see is they can’t stop taking pain pills once they start. And you’re not too good all pilled out, you know? Nobody does good all, you know, I mean I can’t say because I don’t take the ****, but I see them. I have a lot of friends who do a lot of drugs. There’s a lot of people everywhere that do a lot of drugs. Everybody, everybody, is on drugs dude. If they’re not, they’re an alcoholic or something. I don’t know if you noticed that or whatever, look around. The thing is, you know, it’s just, it would be a lot healthier for people to think, you know, it could be, ****, this sort of thing could be the healthiest thing someone does out of their day. Let’s take for example a person whose laying in bed, a cancer patient, a fat person, if you will. Someone who doesn’t do **** all day. That muscle contraction, that core strength that kind of happens, that pulls together when you’re maybe smoking weed or whatever, you know, you’re coughing or whatever, and that blood flow that happens at that point in time, you know what I mean? It’s sort of good for you. You know what I mean? I’m not a doctor or a ****ing scientist, but I’ve smoked plenty of weed. And, you know, I think in my opinion it’s pretty damn good for you. It could be the healthiest thing someone does out of their day if they’re just going to lay there. You know, the most blood flow and exercise that they get out of the day. They’re going to cough weed, you know, and as far as lungs go or whatever, I’ve never had a problem with them. There’s no chemicals involved. I don’t know if you know this, but cigarettes, you know, when people smoke cigarettes it closes your airwaves, but when you’re smoking marijuana it expands your lungs, you know, you’re breathing pretty good. You have more airflow as far as I’m concerned. And, that’s paper that people are smoking. They’re not smoking tobacco. Those little shreds are paper that are soaked in tobacco flavored juice on a conveyor belt and then they wrap it up in a cigarette. But it’s all paper soaked in tobacco flavored juice. Everybody thinks they’re smoking tobacco or something, it’s disgusting. It’s all chemicals. Why do we have a hundred different things in a cigarette that they added to it when tobacco grows right out of the ground? I wonder if people would die from cancer if they were just smoking straight tobacco. I really do.”

StillUnknown
Sakurai brutally stopped Aoki. watchin that ending makes me wish knees to the face on the ground were legal in the UFC haven't seen Mach perform that good in a fight in a long time
StillUnknown
good to see Sakurai looking like the Sakurai of old. Aoki needs to stick to LW. the WW limit in Dream is 167, Aoki only weighed in at 162. get in your lane and stay in it (i'm looking at you too Mr. Penn) Edited April 5, 2009 by StillUnknown
#98QBKiller
Just watched the fights. That Aoki KO was brutal, his head was bouncing around like a punch dummy. I agree he needs to stick to LW, that was a case of a bigger, stronger fighter dominating the wrestling game and getting the upper hand. Either way I'm glad Sakurai is back to form. As much as I wanted to see Jeff Monson lose I had a bad feeling about this fight after seeing the weigh-in pics. Monson looked jacked and Kharitonov looked the most out of shape I've ever seen him. I think the ref could've stopped the fight with a DQ before the tap because Kharitonov punched Monson in the back of the head at least 20 times in a row. If they were fighting in the states I think that would've most certainly been a DQ. Did anyone see the Jason High fight? He totally Fedor'd Yuya Shirai  Except Shirai got completely choked out. Ninja Rua also dropped another fight.
StillUnknown
Ninja looked horrible. if Shogun's been doing the same training, its going to be a short night for him.
#98QBKiller
He did look like ****. At least he didn't get brutally finished like he did against Radach. Yeah if the same Shogun that fought Mark Coleman comes out in a few weeks, he'd better KO Liddell in round 1.

StillUnknown
Torres/Mizugaki = FOTY (so far) i scored it 3round to 2 for Torres, razor thin though. Mizugaki is the truth, helluva chin. some damn good standup, but i think Torres' clinch game won him the fight on another note Mir could not be any more biased in his commentary for Torres. it was embarrassing another damn good WEC card overall Edited April 6, 2009 by StillUnknown

This is the 2nd time I've felt strongly about FOTY for Torres (the other was with Maeda last year). And Mir's commentary was totally ridiculous.
