chipwhich
Birdman was a horrible movie to me.  Same. Birdman was awful. That's one of those movies that was nominated because the Academy likes to pick films that are off the wall sometimes because they watch so many movies they get bored and need to pick something different. BornaSkinsFan83
Face/Off has to be the most ridiculous popular movie (92% on rottentomatoes) in history. Besides the story, just the acting itself. Cage acting like Travolta acting like Cage. And vice verse. Have it on now and it's aged from an action flick to a comedy. If the 80's were lame as hell than the 90's were absurd as hell. Movie and TV wise I think we're in a top age now. It was iffy as hell for awhile there but the special effects have finally caught up to the stories. And you don't need $200 mil to have nice special effects anymore. (I do wish Disney would get back to the old school animation though. Just for a pic or two. For the youngsters.)

chipwhich
In the 1980's I would have to go with Mannequin. A guy falls in love with the Mannequin. It even won an academy award for the soundtrack. Really quality times. It wasn't even a porno.

That ****er made me wanna stop watching the show he pissed me off so much. Kid was beyond breast milk. Looked like he was going for white blood cells he was sucking on that thing so hard. You also have to consider the fact that a boy is sucking on a woman's tittie. Then you got Lil Superhead/Lancelot. This show is off the chain lol

Like to go to sleep to them actually. The problem is I'm don't think, with a lot of them, that corny was the type of comedy they were going for. I watched this last week https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank_(film) From 1984. It was...awesome. But two things: 1) it was supposed to be a drama. And 2) I have no freaking clue how it was rated PG. Gamebreaker
Same. Birdman was awful. That's one of those movies that was nominated because the Academy likes to pick films that are off the wall sometimes because they watch so many movies they get bored and need to pick something different.  That is exactly what their, as well as most critics, problem is. You can look on rotten tomatoes and see a movie with a 40% rotten from critics and a 85% fresh from the audience and wonder why these critics and Academy people never realize that most movies weren't made to please 1% of the audience.

The best are "Black movies" that have like 15% from critics and 85% from the audience. Almost every single damn one. I'm not going to get into that why's of that in this thread (stop turning red chip).

Gamebreaker
There are a lot of '80's movies rated PG that have all types of cussing in it. I watched Spaceballs as a kid, saw it in WallMart for like $5 one day and bought it. I was working part-time doing after-care for a Community center and they asked me to bring a movie in. I'm like,"Man I got Spaceballs in the car!"  Bad move.  I was taking the movie out after 10 minutes and getting promises from the kids they weren't going to tell their parents what they heard. Somehow I didn't remember all of that language and over-the-top sexual themes when I was watching on VHS.  Also, Face/Off is a horrible movie. I never understood it's popularity. Actually I hate nearly every movie with Nick Cage in it. He's horrible.

Tank has cussing, a ton of racial stuff, cops literally pimping out "whores" at a bar, them beating the "whore" for "not doing her job", a ton of beatings, drug deals, prison farm whippings, a dudes full on naked ass for like 2 mins and more. P****ingG. No idea how Gremlins invented PG-13 but Tank is PG. And yeah, you probably shouldn't play it at a community center. I grew up in the black community. My friends are offended when white boys call a movie a "Black Movie". Seriously. Younger kids don't care as much but the sensitivity increases over time. I'm sure you got a ton of Black friends. Gump ass. Actually saw him downtown once. Right off the É street exit, first light, right next to the GW campus. Pull up to the light next to some Escapade type thing blasting rock music. Look over and it's some dude smoking a cig with sunglasses on. He looks at me, drops the shades a bit, gives me a what's up nod and then takes off. I was thinking **** that looked exactly like Nicolas Cage. Turns out he was in town filming National Treasure 2 or some ****. If I knew you hated him I could have told him "Mr. S thinks you suck" or honked at him or something. Next time. LOL and relatives too. Not preachin. Oooh wow.
