SkinsTillIDie
Really unbelievable, for someone who isn't a "Joe Gibbs back." He sets a franchise record in rushing yards, and he still can't get into the probowl. As far as I am concerned, he's our MVP. He's the cornerstone to not only our offense, but our entire team. Mania
Not to take anything away from Portis, but I believe our MVP is Moss, because I feel if we didn't have Moss our running game wouldn't have opened up the way it did the last half of the year. BTW, Portis has had 1500 yard seasons in 3 of his 4 years in the league. Now that is amazing.

bulldog
and how many fans at midseason thought Portis should be traded and was overrated? Teddy Roosevelt was right - the voice of the crowd is often the voice of a fool

Art
Moss has been explosive and very special, but, our MVP is Portis. Portis is the reason we are among the league best in time of possession and running the football and a big reason Moss can do what Moss can do. Portis was good last year. He's absolutely special this year. He's taking it on himself and carrying this team.

bulldog
Portis made that 23 yard run on his own talent. The Eagles had penetrated the line and were poised to drop him for a 2 yard loss when he spun and went the other way and ended up in the end zone. it ain't all the offensive line. SkinsTillIDie
If we can keep everyone on offense for the next few years, which we should, and add a solid #2 reciever, then this offense could become one of the most explosive in the league... If it hasn't already - 100+ points in the last three games Is there really any better situation for a young quarterback in Jason Campbell to step up into? Winslowalrob
I would put a lot of our 5 game winning streak on Clinton's masculine shoulders . Earlier in the season, it took us a while to get our rythm, but right now I would take our system back over most any other RB. Larry Johnson cannot block guys, remember that. Ignatius J.
watching portis take off on that touchdown run was unbelievable. you could hear the air rush out the stadium as my friend and i jumped into the air as he turned upfield at the ten. It was great. Thanks portis.

Destino
MVP? Portis and Moss. Neither has done more then the other. Moss opens up the run for Portis by demanding a double team. Portis allows the passing game to work more effectively by keeping the DL honest and forcing the DB to peek into the backfield. They've both set new team records. Both eclipsed 1500 yards. Both proven their critics wrong. Remove one and the other wouldn't have done as well.
Hog Lover
Portis has been great. Definitely snubbed for the probowl. Warrick Dunn is good, but Portis should have been the pick. He's yet another one of Gibbs' personnel moves that was a great move.
redman
The funny thing is that Denver fans seemed to think Portis was soft and were supposedly glad to be rid of him. What I've seen is one of the toughest RB's around whose dedication to the team has him sticking his shoulders into blocks as much as he lowers his shoulders to fall forward with the ball. He's right now a complete back the way that Emmitt Smith and Marshall Faulk were complete backs in their primes. He's been an awesome, awesome addition for us. 21KO
It doesn't seem physically possible for him to move piles the way he does - but move they do. He's gotten his feet under him, too. Remember at the beginning of the year when he seemed to stumble forward sometimes? Almost like his body wouldn't wait for his feet to catch up? He's amazing - and the O line gets props as well. :applause:

Captain Chaos47
I wonder if people still think we messed up for getting something for champ? Portis has heart that Champ could only dream of having. No question he is the MVP of this team in my mind. He put the whole team on his shoulders. Now it sure would be nice to have Champ on Saturday with how banged up our secondary is...but not if it means giving up Clinton! Nice job, Clinton. You are our leader and inspire us all! :applause:
