  1. I mean getting back to .500 is a real possibility. Wilson's finger seems like it isn't 100% but who knows what another week of healing will do for him, and Vegas seems to be losing a key player/coach just about every week.
  2. I think we proved yesterday that the best friend of a QB is the running game and we gave Taylor that yesterday for the first time in months he went off and had his best game of the season because of it. He's just a gamer, the arm questions will always be there but when continues to make the plays he did and some of those throws in traffic with the so called noodle arm its hard to keep those doubts..
  3. Him and Charles Mann. Mann was basically our everything on the line, could play the run, get sacks almost when he needed too and did it for several years. Hell I could throw in guys like Jumpy Geathers and Fred Stokes as well.. I mean when those defenses could pin their ears back and unleash hell they would always get the QB. I know todays game is different but it sucks seeing teams like NE and Dallas who overhauled their defenses this offseason and are having crazy success, and we've been investing heavy draft capital in this D and I feel it should be better than where we're at. And if it gets better with both Chase and Sweat out. Serious questions should be asked..
  4. Trung candidate. Philip BUchannon, McNaab, Andre Roberts, Jason Hatcher Not sure why OP would put Deion on this list. He played well for us, and that was a SB defense in 2000. Our problem was we had no WR depth, and when Westbrook went down we relied on 50 year olds Irving Fryer and Andre Reed while Albert Connel proved he was only a #2 and our offense died when Westbook got hurt.
  5. Quarterback is different from DE because like I mentioned, CY relies on his knees more. Perfect example, Philip Rivers in the 2007 playoffs played with a torn ACL. LT on the other hand that same playoff campaign sprained his knee and basically couldn't play after he hurt himself the Tennessee game in the wildcard round and he basically was never the same after that. Went from a 1,400 yard back and MVP candidate to a rb without burst and could barely run for 1,000 yards.
  6. You sure? Yes in today's NFL you can comeback in a year from ACL tears but the narrative I feel that's portrayed is your probably 2-3 years from being your normal self if you can ever get there. I mean yes Saquan Barkley came back after a year but everyone knows he's not his old self and he's not making those unbelievable plays he did his rookie year. Sure Young plays a diff. position but he still relies on his knees for cutting like any RB. So the question is will CY be in our future plans if doesn't return to form by the time his rookie deal is up cause this recovery time is basically gonna take up the rest of his deal. You still have to resign Payne, and Sweat's deal is gonna be up before Youngs..
  7. I never had a problem with Haslett. Our issue was we had basically no talent on defense when he was here, just Kerrigan, Fletcher and Hall.
  8. Chargers found Herbert, Pats found Mac Jones, Chiefs found Mahomes, Packers found Rodgers. You don't need the Number 1 pick to get a good QB.. And who are the 3 teams? Houston is the only one I see that really needs a QB. If Miami is in the market for one that's beyond hilarious since they had so many draft picks the last couple years, Detroit has needs everywhere but if they need QB. I mean fine.
  9. I don't want high round picks, I just want good players.
  10. If we have to waste a late round pick on the kicker now, when we have so many other problems...
  11. I mean Taylor is also working with a partially loaded gun at best, we're missing so many pieces and Gibson isn't 100%, I know no excuses. We've never given him a legit running game all season that defenses have to respect and make life for Taylor easier. We're getting to the point where any mistakes he makes now are under the micro scope and we're looking for any excuse to bench him. I say keep rolling with him, see how he does when our weapons are 100% and if he still struggles then move on, but I'm giving him a pass when the majority of his targets are role players at best being asked to do more.
  12. How about a running game??? We're asking Heinike to pull to compete against the best with most of the offense hurt besides McClaurin. Did we not see how much better the offense was with Thomas in there? And I'm sorry but I don't think Gibson is the answer at RB, I think he's a specialist. You need a bellcow who can take pressure off of Taylor hell the QB as a position. I want to see more Dax Milne. Dude knows how to get open.
  13. After playing the NFL's elite the past few weeks its nice to get a shot at some of the middle of the crowd teams for a week until we play TB next week. Den: 24 US: 21
  14. I think the word is out on Taylor, defenses have figured him out. If KC's crappy defense held us to 13 and Taylor can't put up 200 yards on that D what's going to happen down the road? I don't know, I want to think it was a bad day but I think its the former..
  15. It really shocked me the fact that Dan only thought of Sean as nothing more than a prop. Like others have said before me, this day should have been planned with the release of the schedule, give fans time to plan and your organization time to plan a proper celebration. For me you might as well hire some creative director from China or Japan who did an opening ceremony for an Olympics. They don't have to know who he is, just show em some clips and they'll respond with " Gotcha" in their language and watch them do their magic. Redefine the traditional retirement ceremony and set a new standard for teams to follow because he set a new standard at the Safety postion and brought an attitude to their franchise it had never seen before. But instead it might as well have been a ceremony for some player from the '60s few fans ever got to see play. It was basic, half assed and didn't do the Taylor family and the fans any justice.. Snyder cemented his legacy as an owner with this botch job. When Jack Kent Cooke past away it was definitely one of the harder times in franchise history. When Snyder is gone it will be remembered for the exact opposite.
  16. I would say its less they aren't looking good and more opponents are going beyond all out, the trick plays, the gambling on 4th downs and onside kicks vs them. Teams are playing KC like its the AFC championship game. Buffalo finally had a convincing win that didn't go down to the last possession. They get back to normal vs us. We might have supposedly the 2nd best pass rush in the NFL, which is hard to believe but I don't think KC is worried about it at all. KC 34 FT 22
  17. Kid should keep the job.. Does he have the arm? Its up in the air. Decision making? Couple ups n downs but I think we agree he makes more good decisions than bad...I mean at the end of the game, can't ever remember us having a QB thinking, alright now lets see some late game magic and truly believing it could happen, when usually the thinking was, well sh*t how's he gonna screw up this comeback.. I think we all feel dude can compete with any QB out there, he's earned that locker rooms respect, he's invited to the BBQ, and lets not forget his limited starts, he just needs experience but he's shown he has what it takes. Dude should have been around during the Gibbs era, take your pick which one.. Sorry Fitz, but fight for 'Old.... Dominion..
  18. So, watching some QB school on Allen tearing our D a new one. One thing stood out here. Daron Payne. JT breaks down maybe 8-9 plays. Payne is putting serious pressure on Allen on 7 of them. Its pretty impressive to watch.. I know other teams are seeing this..
  19. That was our story last year. We didn't beat any good QB's last year either, besides Big Ben. We even gave up 30 to cast off Jared Goff. Then we ran into the Ben Dinucci's, Ryan Finleys, or course Daniel Jones twice ( though we lost he didn't tear us up throwing the ball), and Nick Mullens. And we tore them up. But when we went up against the gun slingers in this league we looked avg. But everyone was hyping us up, kept playing that Chase Young TD highlight when everyone needed to realize it was against an injury riddled 49er team.. We should have some success with ATL. but I don't have any confidence we this D can hang with any legit offenses, and our schedule is full of them compared to last year..
  20. I understand that when theres the Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo's of the world who put up amazing numbers year in and year out and you have a Rodgers who will probably be a top 3 QB of all time when its said and done, and for all the stability he brought in the QB position he's won 1 ring. Romo only what twice had a decent cowboy team around him and he was out there slinging it game after game and putting up 30 plus points a game and his defense would give up 31 points.. Trust me I understand the value of the QB, I've wanted a franchise QB here since I became a fan in '88 but I know its not the only way to go. John Elway was on his way to a Marino career until Denver finally put a good team around him, you think Charger fans wouldn't trade the Brees Rivers era for a couple of Rings the Ravens won during that same period? San Diego might still have a team if they did...
  21. The Ravens did it in 2000, TB did it in 2002, Raiders did it in '83, there are plenty of examples of teams winning it all after bringing in a vet. Meanwhile, yes have a set it and forget it QB is nice, but it doesn't equate to rings everytime either. Look are Warren Moon, Rivers, Marino, Esaison, Tarkington, Fouts, Kelly. Then you have guys like Favre and Rodgers despite their crazy numbers you only have 2 rings between the two of them. We of all fans should know about bringing vet QB's to lead our established teams to the promise land. Gibbs set the standard for that..
  22. Gotta look back at early last season. We couldn't handle the legit QB's. We didn't beat any of the mobile QB's on the schedule. We took apart backups and teams dealing with injuries.
