  1. I don’t disagree at all really. But I’d go so far as to say they definitely won’t do that, or even 2/3 of it. At this point, all we can hope is that Ron pulls the plug on Wentz prior to the 70% mark. Even that feels questionable to me, even though it shouldn’t. I do worry about him being too stubborn to accept that this is a failure and hang on too long, turning that 3rd into a 2nd. I also can’t see him admitting this whole operation is a failure and tanking in any capacity. I expect him to try and get these guys to gut out a few more wins, enough to take us out of a prime pick and for Wentz to take > 70% of the snaps in doing so.
  2. I’ve got to know who was responsible for the above. Simply way too fitting and way too cool for this outfit to both announce him last and have him come out to ‘Many Men’.
  3. @Jumbo On the money, per usual. I’ve only seen one or two posters that could even remotely be seen as Wentz fanboys and they rarely posted to begin with. Both happened to be fans of his dating back to Philly and have maybe a dozen posts between the two of them. I’ve seen not one regular poster here, dating all the way back to March, post anything I would constitute as being a “Wentz fanboy”. I think the only thing any of us here rallied around was the character assassination by Irsay and the gang. It was and still is gross. Even the most positive remarks about Wentz here have been colored with “best we could do”. Not necessarily a glowing endorsement or great belief that he was going to be awesome here. Just that he’s got more talent than anyone we’ve had since Cousins and that beggars can’t be choosers. Which brings me to my next and final point… Terms like “Wentz fanboy” are only used by hardcore Heineke folks to describe those who fail to see the Mayor of Moxie himself in the same lens that they do. It’s not because we really like Wentz at all, it’s because we don’t share their high and mythical like opinions on Heineke. Plain and simple.
  4. No, instead we got an owner who in 23 years has tanked everything he’s been a part of including our team, that when he inherited it was one of the most historic franchises and largest fanbases in all of professional sport. 23 freaking years, man. We are 23 years in and this dude has burnt this whole thing to the ground and has no means to rebuild it.
  5. Worse, how exactly? We are an abomination from top to bottom. Whats the worst thing that could happen - the new owner loses a lot of games? Perhaps they could even lose enough to select at the top of the draft. Not a chance new ownership could be as smug and incompetent as this one. 0% chance.
  6. Your point? We’ve had ours for 23 years. A franchise rich in tradition with 3 Super Bowls since the Reagan administration, with such a stranglehold on the city that you could often tell if they won or lost by the vibe on street or the water cooler. With a proud fanbase, willing to spare no expense, to pack a bland concrete bowl in Raljon, MD. He’s taken it to what is today: a corny name, awful uniforms, in a half empty stadium packed with opposing fans, with pipes that spew poop, “upgraded custom” seats that are falling apart, charging $18 for a beer to watch the team get it’s ass handed to them. There really is no comparison for what Dan inherited to where he’s taken it today.
  7. We didn’t pick until 19, and just drafted Young at #2 the year prior. I’m not sure why he would have even been on our radar.
  8. I meant bad Oline play in general, not on any particular play. There is no confidence, leading to skittish play for most non-mobile, non-elite QBs.
  9. Stafford also happens to be a guy who stares down his primary receiver, hence all the pick sixes. I’m sure Wentz has some cool throws in his catalog as well, along with some real doozies. My point is that Brady, and Rodgers as well, are exceptions to the rule. Most guys, even the good ones like Stafford, have a tendency to stare down the primary read. Even moreso, when the protection has been bad.
  10. One thing I always liked about the greatest QB to ever play the sport is… Okay, I’ll stop you there. I keep seeing Brady get brought up a lot of late. I guess it’s because he’s not mobile so he’s being cited as an example of how Wentz should be playing. Looking off defenders is something that primarily only elite level passers are doing on a regular basis. Out of all 32 current starters in the league, probably Brady and Rodgers are the only two dudes regularly doing this. Most QBs, a lot of the time, are staring at their primary receiver. Particularly when they have bad Olines.
  11. Dude is head coach, GM, Chief drama explainer, Dan defender, team name, logo and uniform strategist, and whatever other jobs he’s had here, all while defeating cancer. It’s not even been a full 3 years. I’m no Rivera apologist. He accepted the gig and he’s collecting the paycheck, it is what it is. But I’m on record along with many others saying that giving any one man all the power he has in conjunction with all of the other drama attached to this franchise is destined to fail. Of course we wanted to believe and hope for the best because Rivera seems like a good dude. I’m also not foolish enough to believe that he hasn’t been saddled with Dan’s BS. It almost seems personal to you that it all be about Rivera and how all this is is his problem he made on his own and yadda yadda. I’d say it’s wierd but I’ve watched this cycle with every head coach that has ever coached here. Its Snyderitis.
  12. This franchise can’t even win on Twitter. In fact it goes out of its way to look worse than they already do.
  13. Want to believe what? I’ve been observing the actions of Dan Snyder and the results of everyone he’s hired since he took ownership. I’ve watched all of them with the exception of Zorn enter Washington with a solid reputation only to watch it deteriorate quickly, some faster than others. I’ve also watched fans of this team convince themselves time and time and time again, that it will all be different this time. Dan is going to be hands off, he will have zero impact on anything, he will spend bazillions of dollars to be great, and on and on and on. This never ends up true. Ever.
  14. The losses haven’t hurt me for years now. But I do agree, not watching was a liberating feeling. I got some vitamin D, on a nice day, shot an 89, and got about 8000 steps I wouldn’t have gotten at my house watching this **** show.
  15. You and a few other posters are going to die on the hill that Dan is cheap/ broke, while he is on vacation on his mega yacht. As has been explained to you on numerous occasions and you’ve shown zero ability to comprehend it - cheap and broke are two entirely different things. Nobody is arguing that Dan is broke or anywhere close to it. However there is plenty, both historically and current, to suggest that he is cheap, when it comes to this football team. It’s like you are living in 2009 and backing the Brinks truck up for Haynesworth is how you gauge whether he’s cheap or not. Your point of view is both outdated and wrong, which I’d guess is not only isolated to how you view the football team.
  16. Having not seen a second of the game, I just checked the box score and a few blatantly obvious issues - Robinson 9 runs, 22 yards as the leading rusher and another game forcing no turnovers, even with 13 QB hits. Meanwhile Tannehill throws for 180 in victory. Sad stuff.
  17. He’s made it abundantly clear that not only will he burn it to the ground, but he will keep it and pass down the ashes to his son.
  18. Who does that exactly? Who wouldn’t want him on their team? I’ve seen a lot of stupid things said here, but have never come across this.
  19. My fandom is on E and has been for a while. I know it doesn’t seem that way because I still post here. But posting here is more like counseling and habit than it is actually caring about the team. I can barely muster emotion for this team in week 1, much less week 5 at 1-3. They’ve broken me, to a point where I spend most games looking through my phone vs paying full attention to the game. I can’t even muster the juice for firing this guy or that guy, who is going to be next, why they will be so much better than the last guy, yadda yadda. It’s always just different characters but the same old story.
  20. I was thinking the same thing, like dude - at least be disgusted with yourself over it. 😭
