  1. Wentz fanboys šŸ˜ And a bunch of goobers patting zCommmander on the back and telling him to keep his head up, that they are the smart folks. Make it stop.
  2. Today was liberating for me. As much as I loathe what Dan has done to this team, Iā€™ve religiously watched for pretty much the entirety of my life. In recent seasons past, Iā€™d flirt with the idea of not wasting my time watching and play golf instead. Last week, I told my buddies that Iā€™d seen enough and would be booking a 1pm tee time this week if the weather cooperated. Forecast looked beautiful, booked a 1:10 tee time and never looked back. We turned the radio broadcast on the Bluetooth speaker and listened. The entire time, even during the few exciting plays, I still felt like we made the right decision to get out and get some fresh air and vitamin D rather than scroll through my phone, with the game on from my couch. Iā€™ll tune in Thursday night, because thereā€™s nothing else to do. But itā€™s incredibly difficult to care one iota about this team.
  3. My man hates Dan AND Ron for ruining this great franchise. Make it make sense. Ron hasnā€™t even been here a full 3 years. Dude shows up on the heels of ā€œFire Bruce Allenā€ and ā€œSell the teamā€ chants bellowing from a near empty stadium that would be empty if not for opposing fans. He inherited an elite left tackle that had enough of this franchise and a 2nd year overdrafted but hand picked by the owner QB. Shortly thereafter, he got cancer, the team was in the news for the owners sexual harassment allegations, and they were forced to change the team name. But yeah, he helped to ruin this ā€œgreatā€ franchise. GTFOH.
  4. There is nothing more Snyderā€™s pro football team than a week 5 debate between posters over how the head coach is awful and everything is his fault because ā€œDan didnā€™t X this timeā€. Remember the Shanny debates? ā€œBut, but, but he had all the powerā€ Come to find out his fingerprints were all over everything. Yet, some folks to this day - will insist every coach leaves here and makes stuff up so they have an excuse for their failure. Literally all of these coaches (minus Zorn) got hired here because they had a good reputation. I guess itā€™s just coincidence that literally every coach that coaches here, simply cannot win and ultimately leaves a shell of themselves?
  5. For the first time in my life, Iā€™m willfully choosing to do something else with my time while the team plays. 1:10 tee time. I thought my buddies were just blowing smoke last week when they agreed to it, but itā€™s booked and we are šŸŒļø.
  6. Iā€™d say that I cannot believe weā€™re still talking about Taylor Heieneke, but sadly - I can believe we are still talking about Taylor Heineke. Ron Rivera could not sell another year of TH to his team under any circumstances. Stop pretending that was an option. Sure, it sounds great in theory - tank 2022 to finally draft a stud in 2023. But that doesnā€™t sound like a great idea to Terry, Jon Allen, or the other guys in the locker room. Ron owed it to everyone in that locker room to upgrade the QB position. The schtick of ā€œTH isnā€™t the future, butā€¦ā€ heā€™s a ballerific, moxie maniac, with four alarm fire hair, that gets through his reads like lightning and escapes pressure like Houdini needs to stop. Some of you guys have turned him into this mythical figure because of a few cool games.
  7. There is no treatment. One day you will (should) wake up and just acknowledge whatā€™s been staring you in the face for the past couple of decades. @Fan since a Fetus just gave a really good description of why itā€™s hard for many of us to invest in concern about the head coach and whoā€™s going to be next or whatever else. Every single hire Dan has made minus Zorn had a positive narrative to it. Where the new guy isnā€™t like the last guy for x, y, z reasons. Itā€™s not long before the new guy starts feeling like the old guy. New guy needs to be fired, almost as if all of the good things he did prior to coming here never happened and heā€™s a shell of himself after being here a few years. The only common denominator is Dan Snyder. You can try to isolate blame for x, y and z all you want but itā€™s long proven to be a futile endeavor. Itā€™s not as if his failures are isolated to this team either. Practically everything heā€™s touched since he bought the team has turned to šŸ’©. Itā€™s not simply bad luck or a myriad of coincidences that lead to the lackluster results of this franchise or any other of his ventures. At some point, you simply have to be willing to accept that this owner is the disaster everyone says he is, and then some. You have to either check out all the way or grade those in charge of this org on a curve. To keep pretending that next time it will be different is a foolā€™s errand. It will not be different. Different characters, same old šŸ’©.
  8. A key symptom of Snyderitis is when fans twist their brains into pretzels trying to isolate what is Danā€™s fault from what is the coaches fault. Iā€™ve long been a believer that it stems from the belief that Dan is forever and coaches are not. Nobody will admit that, as I think itā€™s more of a subconscious thing than something folks knowingly think about.
  9. We must have the weirdest coach centric model in history, where the coach doesnā€™t want to spend every dollar and move it around to spend even more. Thatā€™s the only explanation if Dan really has zero impacts on spending, as far as when and how much.
  10. The owner apologized for the past that didnā€™t take place, but if it did it was because of Bruce. šŸ˜
  11. So Dan hangs out with Bruce on the reg, and employed him to run his billion dollar business. Bruce instilled this awful culture right under Danā€™s nose and he had absolutely no idea was going on, for a DECADE. The whole claiming ignorance tactic is almost as criminal as being directly involved.
  12. Yā€™all falling for the lie. RON is doing this on purpose. Simple restructuring cost nothing but time. To sit there and believe that we have some incredible financial problems that we canā€™t overcome, while banking millions of dollars in revenue is just mind boggling, truly mind blogging. What lie? Ron hasnā€™t even so much as alluded to being put on any budget. Where have you been the past decade? The ā€œDan will spare no expense to winā€ narrative was debunked long ago.
  13. Ron would be the first head coach I can think of that would willfully choose not to move money around and spend money to load up his roster. That in combination with everything else Dan has going on, doesnā€™t make it hard for me to believe that Ron had to work within the confines of a budget. My guess is itā€™s the unfortunate combo of working on a budget with constraints and Ron overestimating the talent he had at LB, and overvaluing Norwell and Turner, not realizing both are washed.
  14. Let Dan tell it, heā€™s never even been to Ashburn. If it was anybody but him, this stuff would be unbelievable. He employs a guy to be his right hand man for a decade, thereā€™s a well noted and documented relationship between the two, and he and more importantly his lawyers, have the audacity to pretend everything was his fault and that Dan was simply in the dark about it all. Beyond how ridiculous that is, Dan has a lengthy track record of going to great lengths to smear folks when they leave. This is just more of the same and how anyone could buy it is beyond comprehension.
  15. The only thing Iā€™m absolutely certain of is that Bruce provided some rather scathing material to the committee, Snyderā€™s lawyers are aware of it, and are going on the offense to get out in front of whatever comes of it. Bruce apparently is so good at hiding this awful culture and frat like atmosphere from Dan, he was able to do it all while being Danā€™s drinking and putt putt buddy for a decade.
  16. Weā€™ve tried Jackson in both man and zone, the only thing heā€™s consistent at is getting burnt, looking confused, and celebrating QB overthrows.
  17. I watched some clips of a recent interview Sean Payton did with Graham Bensinger and there is a particularly interesting section that covers what he was thinking when he first visited with Mickey Loomis and toured the facility. He was talking about how it simply wasnā€™t a place he could imagine himself, didnā€™t want the job, was checked out the whole time, thinking ā€œI love Mickey, but good luck with thisā€¦ā€. It wasnā€™t until the Packers notified him they were going with McCarthy over him that he even remotely considered it. Basically, it took a valued personal relationship and no other alternatives to even get him to embrace the thought of coaching in New Orleans. He had a hard time even putting together his staff because nobody wanted to go there. I thought it was a nice glimpse into what the situation is like here, which at this point, is clearly worse than NO was- all things considered. It also adds a layer to the Dallas scenario, where if they let McCarthy go for Payton, itā€™s like his ultimate payback.
  18. So I still see you giving Dan way more credit than heā€™s ever deserved. I donā€™t think for a moment that Dan wants anything to do with the Shanahan tree or can even understand why itā€™s breeding success. Dan is not capable of playing chess or even checkers. Not a chance in the world heā€™s been giving thought to whoā€™s next or where it should come from or how it should be setup. To suggest otherwise is merely another dream.
  19. Iā€™d venture a guess, that you thought the same thing when Jay was fired and Ron took his place. Or when Shanny was fired and Jay took his place, and the list goes on. It always ā€˜feelsā€™ like new should be better but it never really is, and even if it flirts with better, it always gets worse. Itā€™s the Snyder cycle.
