  1. I’m not sure how much a guy can really do to increase arm strength, approaching age 30. It’s not just about the deep ball though, or how far he can heave it down the field. There’s just a lot of throws defenses don’t have to account for with Taylor, hence every team getting closer and closer to the LOS as the season went on, and with that his performances got worse and worse. The Hive tends to believe that was primarily due to roster shakeup and missing pieces. I expect to see the same defensive strategies even with more folks healthy.
  2. I feel like the “let Heini play” until there’s 4 or 5 games left crew are going to change their tune after a game or two. It’s easy to want a switch when the offense has been as abysmal as it’s been. But per usual, we always find out it could be worse.
  3. It’s almost like people forgot Heineke’s play made our guys fight each other on the sideline last season. Daron Payne’s dad is definitely not in the Hive. 😭
  4. I’d imagine every owner without a QB engages with the top brass on how they are going to fix that. Owner involvement on the QB position is not an issue isolated to Snyder. Getting the QB position wrong and overpaying to do so is a hallmark Snyder move though.
  5. I think you are severely under estimating him. He’s an electrifying player. He immediately adds a superstar factor. There will be suitors hopeful Bmore doesn’t pay up. Paying any QB a crazy contract puts major pressure on an organization because now they have to draft better, spend more wisely on FA, and most importantly be really good at asset management and cap shenanigans. If you can’t do all those things, there is no way you’re going to camouflage the huge QB contract. Bottom line though, there’s zero chance we will get the opportunity to overpay him.
  6. Watching around the league today, something that sticks out like a sore thumb is just how slow and plodding our offense is in comparison to most everyone else. We don’t even hurry up when hurry up is an absolute requirement.
  7. In your opinion, solely because it helps you sleep at night. It’s only been 23 years, over a handful of coaches, a few different front office guys, and every single one of them has been a failure. You choose to be willfully ignorant of the common denominator. In your strange mind, you believe that all the head coaches recollections of their time here with Dan are made up lies. The same petty and spiteful Dan that would sue anyone with a pulse over less, somehow has never refuted publicly or in court - wonder why that is? He’s never been vindicated in any way shape or form. Yet you literally wake up everyday, choose to put on a tinfoil hat, and believe Dan just hires bad guys that lie instead of connecting the freaking dots. It’s bizarre.
  8. Only the finest china… We eat fancy meals on pedestrian plates on the reg.
  9. Lamar can choose wherever he wants to be crazy rich. He’s not betting on himself to play at the junkyard down the road..
  10. I’m not looking to be the guys agent, and I never see him having personnel control in the event he ever gets another HC gig. But it’s hard for me to want to tar and feather the guy for being put in a position to fail and failing. He’s just a different character in the same story.
  11. Actually, that is totally Dan’s fault. Ron Rivera has not earned the right to follow the likes of Bill and Andy, and select an FO to his liking, giving him ultimate say on the roster. There is no history there to suggest this is a strength. Yet he was given that much power because Dan is lazy, cheap and ignorant. “Full control” also gets blown out of proportion. Guys like @FLSkinz83 like to talk about it like it means the head coach doesn’t have to answer to Dan, doesn’t have to entertain his ideas, has no pressure from Dan in any capacity regarding the roster, etc. The owner is always in charge, the coach/GM has to take direction from them, whether their contract says “full control” or not. Some owners are smart enough to realize they pay professionals to make all football decisions and let them do their jobs. Others like to be involved, particularly on the big stuff.
  12. Some of you guys take great offense when we laugh at the notion of winning with Heineke, as if we literally believe he’s not capable of playing QB in a game the team wins. I’d just like to clarify that I’m aware Taylor can win games. That’s just the opposite of what’s healthy for this football team. What Taylor cannot do, is win anywhere near enough games with this team to make the playoffs. My worst fear is a few four alarm hair fire wins vs. the Colts, Falcons, etc. that do nothing but drop where this team selects in the draft. Maybe worse is hearing about all the moxie and how if x, y, and z happened, we can with him and on and on from the Hive. Perhaps some of you are still into wanting to salvage the season in some way. I am certain this team isn’t good enough with anyone on the roster at QB to be entertaining in January. I’m resigned to the fact that thing is over already. I also believe a disaster season can do nothing but help us in our quest to see Dan removed. Just my 2 cents.
  13. As opposed to seeing an undrafted guy we already saw a full season of? I seriously doubt folks are under the impression he’s going to light the world on fire, but what do they have to lose?
  14. This is where I’ve been. It’s basically a match made in hell all the way around. I don’t see any salvaging it either. Go ahead and call the Wentz experiment over with, roll with Heini for a few weeks while getting Howell ready.
  15. Not that I think he will be a spark, but do you really want that? I’m all in on a disaster season. The only way I’d stomach a spark is if by some small chance Howell caught lightning in a bottle. I have zero desire to see a couple gutsy wins against really bad teams that lose draft position. ‘Winning’ Thursday night was bad enough.
  16. I actually don’t care if they play Heineke. It’s not as if the football has been fun to watch to this point. I just have no interest in re-litigating his play with the Hive.
  17. You wouldn’t even realize it’s fall at Mt. Heineke. I guess it’s always 90 degrees and looks sunny when hair is on fire.
