Broken #1QB. Now who should start?
BatteredFanSyndrome replied to SlobberknockerSkinsFan's topic in The Stadium
I don’t think anyone has ever suggested that the guys don’t like Heineke. I’m sure they both like and respect him. Why wouldn’t they? I’m pretty sure we’ve all worked with people that aren’t the best at their job, but they try hard and we like them anyways. -
No doubt, his middle name should be Gutless.

My point was Dan still has 20 years or so on those guys. I have a hard time believing all of those guys will always struggle, to the extent Dan has. Generally speaking, most people learn from mistakes and have some level of accountability. We just so happened to get the exception to that rule. The guy who can’t get out of his own way, points fingers at everyone but himself and is incredibly petty and spiteful to boot.

Not a fan of any of those guys. That said, Dan has them by a good twenty years and is still generally a terrible person that can’t field a decent football team to save his life. It’d be one thing if Dan had actually shown any level of growth or success, even if not here - in any other ventures. But he hasn’t, he’s just as bad if not worse than he’s always been.

Yeah, it’s really good for evenly coating a pan, grill grates, etc. Best deal is at Costco, 2 large containers for $12. Every now and then, they run it at $4 off and I buy several to stock up.

I ordered it on Amazon. I cut it with a bit of pineapple juice as some of the family finds it to be too hot. My favorite is to make chicken salad with the leftovers. Adds a cooling effect to the spice.

This is what it looks like, kind of inconspicuous and placed with a bunch of the other random ‘Latin’ stuff like canned chipotles, green chiles, etc.

@Koolblue13 I hadn’t revisited that game until just now, and yeah - he had 45 minutes back there most of the day. The other thing that jumps off the screen is just how long nearly every ball takes to get to the receiver. Not just the long stuff either. @Voice_of_Reason I don’t think Payton would take 10/$200M. Every piece I’ve seen with him, he makes it abundantly clear that he’s interviewing the interviewer, not the other way around. The synergy with ownership and GM is mandatory for him. He won’t even take a call from Dan Snyder. -
Bottom line, his lack of cash impacts football operations to some extent. It shouldn’t. The end.

My guess is a guy like Haslam wants nothing to do with talk of removing owners. He’s a noted scumbag, that provided generational wealth in form of an unprecedented contract, to a guy accused of over 2 dozen sexual assaults. I’m sure the other owners are just waiting for a moment to pounce on him down the road as well.

If the team wins 4 straight at any point, I doubt it will be due to Taylor dominating. Most likely, defense and running game comes alive should something like that happen. I’m not sure there is a realistic 4 game stretch where that can happen, but I’m sure this team isn’t going 2-15. They are going to win some games that deter the path to a top draft pick, but nowhere near enough to make the playoffs, in typical fashion. -
We keep the Walkerswood jerk on hand as well, great cooks think alike. I wouldn’t say it’s spicy at all. In fact, I made an aji verde sauce to go with it because I like it spicy. The marinade is primarily savory.

It was my concern the moment it was announced. I was afraid the investigation starter with a conclusion already and that it was only being done to appease the masses.

I prefer to make my own rubs and marinades, but I can’t speak highly enough of the Wegman’s Peruvian marinade found in the Latin aisle. For whatever reason, I picked it up and now keep it on hand all the time. A squeeze of lime, a little oil and some of this marinated overnight and grilled. Turns basic, cheap boneless thighs into an elite protein.

Jim Irsay taking the torch and lighting Dan on fire like this is not something I was prepared for today.

I believe he put together a group of investors and had a losing bid on the Broncos.

I’m sure there’s nothing a billionaire hates more than being forced into doing anything. They believe the sun rises and sets on them, and their ability to accumulate FU Money, entitles them to FU every day until they die, at which point their children get to do the same. At one point, I could buy that he was a fan of the team and truly believed he could turn it around. But at this point, it has to be out of spite.
