Scott Tuner and Ron Rivera know full well Heinicke's strengths and weaknesses. But they never placed him in a position to succeed. Forcing him to stay in the pocket given his size and with a turnstile OL was a strip sack waiting to happen. Rivera told us earlier this season that he's THE ONE who wanted to trade for Wentz even at expense of addressing the offensive line. Now he has his man. He will soon find out that he cannot win with a QB not named Cam Newton. SELL the TEAM!

Heinicke Hive: The LEGEND of Taylor Heinicke Thread
celticsalmon replied to LetThePointsSoar's topic in The Stadium
But Scott had him in Carolina. He KNEW his arm strength - Turner had first hand expearience with what TH could do or not do - yet he brought him back and put him in this his offense and kept him in the pocket behind a pourous line. If Scott were an elected official I would call it malfeasance. So I call Turner's use of Heini as malpractice. -
Heinicke Hive: The LEGEND of Taylor Heinicke Thread
celticsalmon replied to LetThePointsSoar's topic in The Stadium
Taylor Heinicke is/was a great story. He had his chance but in in the end he lacked the size and arm to be a viable starter. BUT for a while it looked seemed like a fairytale. But clock striked midnight with a questional Offensive Coordinator. Why take an undersized QB and force him to manage and game and stay in the pocket? But not playing to his strengths by designing play actions, rollouts and bootlegs, Scott Turner tarnished the luster. Did you notice how TH's demeanor changed from happy go lucky - the sullen and serious. Malpractise by the coaching staff. He has a place in the NFL- just not as a starter or for that matter - a pocket passer behind a porous line. IMO -

Welcome to the Redskins Chase Young DE Ohio State
celticsalmon replied to Sacks 'n' Stuff's topic in Around the NFL
Chase Young = Juan Soto! Great skill set - plays with PASSION and LOVE of their game! -
Kevin O'Connell, Sean McVey, Kyle Shannahan...were in the house and they left because of Little big man- Snyder! Our beloved franchise will always be losers as long as Danny owns the team.

Snyder is a short timer as an owner. It would be in his best interest to sell quickly and leave quietly- for the sake of the fans, the league and himself!
