  1. Carson can make all the throws and can move. What do people want, ARod? I didn't like the trade at all. Now I think we lucked out. Exactly. He also has showed a ton of heart.
  2. My takeaways: We have a legit franchise QB. Wentz and Turner are a good match. Ron's loyalty to Del Rio is already haunting us. Going for two was inexcusable.
  3. Offense has looked very impressive. All our backs can catch -- it's so hard to deal with.
  4. Well, Del Rio hasn't learned anything it seems. Rons loyalty to him will cost us huge, I fear.
  5. At this point, based on the "experts", we are primed to get rolled by the Jags. The narrative on Wentz has gotten out of control. I mean, I have never been a fan of the guy, and suddenly I'm pulling for him big-time. Dude has taken so many shots from blogger boys. I would feel pretty good about this game if it wasn't for Rivera's history of slow starts. Something he seems to have done nothing to change. Dude, all the good teams scrimmage other teams. Ron says there's no reason to, then starts every year slow. His loyalty to Del Rio is also a concern. Especially when guys like Vic Fangio are out there. But, you know, week one. I'm still excited. At least I hope it's fun. If not... well, Sam Howell was the steal of the draft, right?
  6. The more I watch, the more I think it's a scheme issue that they are too stubborn -- and now too late to the game -- to change. Instead of admitting that it's "we just have to execute and be disciplined." When you KEEP saying this... the problem is something else.
  7. I know it's only preseason, but I worry it's a schematic issue at this point and Del Rio doesn't know how to adjust. Yes, we got better on third down in the back half last season, but I got a feeling this is Ron being too loyal to Del Rio. My God, Vic Fangio is out there. Ron has to have some regrets.
  8. I don't care about much in preseason other than injuries, but teams have been feasting on Del Rio's "scheme" for way too long now. It's beyond time to move on.
  9. It's a comedy act at this point. A bad one. No insight at all -- just canned phrases.
  10. Get the starters out. Wentz looked pretty good -- in COMMAND you might say.
  11. Terrible third down d? Check. Gibson fumbling? Check. Wentz locking in on TE? Check. Taking command! Seriously though, I hate preseason. Just avoid injuries.
  12. I love that Carson -- who for all we know is in a complete bubble -- now knows for sure that so many think he's done and that his camp hasn't been great. (Even if both aren't true) And I love that Wright defended a player. Win-win.
  13. 100 percent believe -- Mike Lombardi says it's a fact -- that Kyle wanted to take Mac Jones and was swayed by the front office, who was swayed by blogger boys who were thirsty for Trey Lance and thought Jones wasn't cool enough.
  14. Here's the new thing you need to understand about this new generation of "journalists" who cover pro sports. The majority of them are total losers. "Blogger boys" as Kevin Durant so brilliantly put it.
  15. Would love to think we were right and the rest of the league was wrong when it comes to Wentz, but what are the odds of that? I still don't mind the roll of the dice, but my gut tells me the next step in our epic quest to find stability at QB will be fans talking up Howell sooner than later.
  16. Black Bird on Apple TV is damn good. Old Man.... love it. The Offer was a blast, with my favorite performance of the year, Matthew Goode as Robert Evans. Bosch: Legacy.... my comfort food. Terminal List... I like grim, but this is pushing it.
  17. Baker is so physically limited. I get the team's preference for Wentz. It's a smarter roll of the dice.
  18. Good Lord. I can't believe this is the country we live in. Safe nowhere it seems. It's baffling.
  19. You can be beyond rich and not want to immediately put 100 dollars in cash in an escrow account, instead of investing it or just earning interest off it. Or have 100 million in cash sitting around period. But that's what you have to do in the NFL upon signing a player to a deal -- fully and immediately fund the guaranteed money. It's why so many owners hate the Watson deal -- Cleveland had to put all the guaranteed money of that contract into an escrow account. Really rich owners have a big advantage now.
