  1. Every coach has failed under Snyder. I think Ron is utterly mediocre, and I'm so sick of his excuses, but I'm not sure it really even matters at this point. There's always going to be a catch with Danny. Some fly in the ointment. Be it a joke of a GM, or a coach who isn't hungry anymore and just wants to hire his buddies, etc... Or a young coach he just dictates to. At this point, I'm stuck between rooting for another Rivera run in the midseason just so I have short-term fun on Sundays again... ... or complete sucktitude, with the stadium so empty that forcing Danny out at least becomes somewhat of a possibility.
  2. Three losing seasons in a row and Ron HAS to get fired, right? My God, then Danny will have to blow it all up again. Can't wait to see his next "I'm smarter than everyone else" approach that somehow results in anything but the traditional way of doing things: hiring a GM, letting the GM hire a coach.
  3. New owner and Ken Dorsey as head coach. He's getting hell for getting mad at the end of the game. Screw that -- I loved the passion/competitive spirit. What do we get from Captain Ron? More of the same excuses and goalpost moving. If we're not down by 20 at halftime nowadays, it's a good game for us. I've seen enough.
  4. You know the one think Snyder hasn't done? Employ a traditional structure through traditional means. Hire a GM. One a league-wide search team helps you find, not some one no one else will hire and therefore will be your lackey. Let the GM hire a coach. Snyder has never done angle, like he's smarter than everyone else. Obviously, he's not. He always has some angeles.
  5. He can't even throw a red flag in time. Starting to wonder what he does do well, other than being a decent human being.
  6. Again, we will go on a meaningless run later in the season. It's what Ron does.
  7. We will have a nice little run at some point. One that ultimately means nothing but makes people think hey, maybe next year. This is what Rivera teams do.
  8. Ron is terrible. Look it up. NO TEAM spots points like we do under him. It's not some coincidence at this point.
  9. I actually miss Jay. He didn't make excuses until after he was fired. Plus he was funny.
  10. I think he's safe because Dan is already in such a precarious position with the owners. His only hope is that Ron turns it around. But I've seen enough. We ALWAYS start slow and SPOT HUGE LEADS. Ron is a class act. But I'm sick of the excuses.
  11. Think I've seen enough of the Ron Rivera era. Make all the excuses you want, Riverboat, no one spots other teams huge leads like Washington has under your stewardship. Jay did more with less. Maybe Dan will sell the team at halftime.
  12. Good Lord, our d-line is decimated. Good thing we let Settle go.
  13. I don't give a damn about Jack's politics. Hell, I kinda like the guy even though I don't share his political views. And apparently so do the players. But it's not like the D has just been a disappointment the last 18 games, it's been downright awful most of the time.
  14. Offense has weapons and at the very least, a competent NFL Quarterback. Rivera is out of excuses if the team doesn't win at least nine games IMO. He gets no excuses when it comes to the defense. All its flaws are squarely on him at this point.
  15. It would be nice if we didn't put ourselves in a huge hole -- which is the trademark of the Rivera era. He spots teams 10 or more points like no other coach in recent NFL history. I don't think our defense -- which is thin now on the line -- can stop Philly. Our offense is not only going to have to score, but also dominate possession. It all seems like a tall order. So, I'll say... Commanders 73, Iggles 13
  16. Since Rivera and Jack have got here, we have consistently been down early in games -- and often by 10 points or more. It makes it so hard to win. The same mistakes keep happening. I'm not sure what Ron is waiting for. Does anyone think Jack is going to legit turn this thing around? I'm sure the D will get better on some level -- how could it not -- but there are clearly DC's out there who would do a lot more with this roster. Look at what Quinn did in Dallas one year after their D was atrocious. Yes, Parsons was good. But still.
  17. It's the scheme and the coaching -- or lack there of it. Rivera needs to move on from Jack. Same mistakes and excuses over and over. Cut the cord, rip the band-aid off. https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/lists/washington-commanders-defense-jack-del-rio-ron-rivera/
  18. It's all good. Maybe the stadium will collapse on the Eagles offense as they run out of the tunnel.
