  1. Does this mean other shoes are bound to drop? Likewise with Mary Jo White investigation (which NFL has confirmed will be made public)?
  2. Yeah, he has a long pattern of not being able to exercise restraint and professionalism publicly. I can't see why he doesn't understand he's a public figure and reflects on the team given his leadership position. If he was a much better D-coordinator I could at least understand why the team tolerates it but he's not, so I don't.
  3. I don't buy the former since our poor performance predated our COVID-related absences later in the season. As for the last bit about Dan's cash position (covered extensively elsewhere), that would be highly troubling and yet another in a long list of reasons NFL should force a sale.
  4. I still don't get why JDR is still employed by the team. It's not like he's a top 3 D coordinator and so we have to do what we can to keep him happy. We aren't even a top-20 D. Let him pound sand.
  5. Good first move. He now needs to show he can win the trust of the team. I hope to see a top 15 D this year, or he's out.
  6. And who would agree to take on a minority stake in this team given that the last set of minority owners were employing scorched earth tactics to get out of their stake? I think the reason the NFL felt compelled to float Snyder a risk-free loan to buy the rest of the team was specifically because there were no other candidates to buy the minority stake.
  7. Agreed - so much for Rivera-led culture change. I can only imagine what the locker room thinks of these unhinged tweets.
  8. It's not a matter of money - I think it's more the matter that it's Federally owned land and it would require a vote in Congress or something like that to start the process of selling it to the City.
  9. VA either voting to turn down stadium funding or even simply delaying what seemed to be an inevitable slam dunk may also serve as the straw that breaks the camel's back when it comes to Snyder and the league.
  10. We should be so lucky. For some reason, I feel like the NFL will circle the wagons around Snyder and politicians will be too chicken to stand up.
  11. Neither Snyder nor Goodell have been subpoenaed, though. I believe the invitation is part political theater (as many of these things are) but also an effort to give each of them the opportunity to give their side of the story. If they refuse, the Committee will issue a report based on the information it's gathered already. NFL did respond to this invitation today with a statement saying they've already turned over a lot of information. So the Committee is likely tying up loose ends but already has most of what it needs.
  12. Easier to do when your other outside business had yet to be run into the ground (Six Flags, Johnny Rockets) and you had minority owners to help offload the sting of large cash outlays. Now he's on an island and all cash comes from him. Truth
  13. I'm guessing in this case the "bank" is the "NFL" given how levered he is and that they were the originators of that "risk-free" loan he got as a reward for being a totally horrible human being.
  14. 1) He had fumbling issues at critical moments during the season 2) His body is still getting used to taking the punishment of being a featured RB - maybe this is a way to ensure he doesn't wear down 3) The coaching staff might start to use him more creatively now that we have more of a bell cow RB on the roster (this would be a good thing, IMO)
  15. True - but I had heard that might be more due to injury concerns than talent. Supposedly, he had a shoulder injury and had refused to get surgery on it.
  16. I said above-average, not average. But i understand your point. With a DL made up of all 1st rounders, one of which was taken #2 overall in the draft, we need to get a lot more out of them than what we saw last year. I hope the play from the ends was a slump and I'm encouraged with Allen stepping up. Keeping fingers crossed.
  17. Doesn't Snyder get a cash stream from the revenue-sharing model the NFL employs? Honestly not sure how that money (in particular, the money from the broadcasting deals) finds its way to each team and when that cash hits the books during the fiscal year.
  18. I really hope Robinson ends up adding a lot to this offense. Would also like Dyami to take the next step, especially with a QB that can air it out for him. It plays to his strengths. My concern is that Logan Thomas may not play to start the year given his injury. Not sure how much we can count on him to contribute meaningfully. Given that, we lack a large target on the O unless you are banking on Cam Sims somehow becoming a huge favorite of Wentz's given his love of big WRs. That may end up being the case, but Sims hasn't shown so far that he's anything better than JAG.
  19. With the talent on the roster if this D doesn't at least get into the top 15, it falls on the coaches.
  20. Thoughts on if Brian Robinson Jr becomes a bell cow back in this offense with Gibson moving to more of a gadget player?
