  1. I mean, it's unlikely but as the days roll on - I just get the sense that Dotson is just clicking like crazy with Wentz. Would be a good problem to have, I guess.
  2. Crazy thought - could Dotson emerge as our #1 WR this year? 😬
  3. If we were one player away, I'd say yes. But this team isn't close to being just one player away. My preference would be to roll the dice on a mid-tier vet for depth and then draft LB high next year.
  4. Armani Rogers may be Logan Thomas 2.0 (successful conversion of QB -> TE). Love to see it! Who is McGowan?
  5. Glad to see Dyami Brown back. Based on what I've read on this board and on Twitter from the beat reporters, mixed reviews but I think he could take a step this year.
  6. Easy with the name calling, boss. I think it is totally reasonable for fans to be upset if their team whiffs on a 1st rounder - a player who should be expected to at least be a solid starter with potential to reach all-pro play. I get that some folks are saying we all knew he was a reach and therefore it's not Davis' fault. In my view, that misses the point. I don't blame Davis - I blame the FO. We took him in the first which means our FO thought he was going to be a solid starter. If he isn't, to me that approaches bust territory and that's on the team. BTW, your point about opportunity cost is compelling but I'd like to know who we missed out on by drafting Davis who at least is starting most/all downs, not necessarily crushing it a la Parsons.
  7. Wish Chase Young was healthy and able to take advantage of his tutelage
  8. He was taken 19th overall. So yes, I'm expecting starter-quality. Not necessarily Ray Lewis-caliber (yet) but can't he be a full time starter? Isn't that what a 19th overall pick should be expected to produce?
  9. Simply terrible. It's bad enough that we wasted a 1st rounder on him but worse yet, we have NO depth at the position behind him. If I were the FO, the LB position is top priority in the draft next year. However, this time, don't be cute about it and try and act like the smartest guy in the room going so far outside of consensus to reach on a prospect.
  10. Glad to see that someone has crunched the numbers to prove with data what I've always suspected - OT is one of the positions where you either resign your own guy or prioritize in the draft. NEVER worth signing a starter in FA. To me, best FA elite pickups worth the contracts have been WR, LB, and maybe S. All others hamstring your team unless your window for a championship is 1-2 years (in other words, you are just one or two players away from a potential Lombardi).
  11. These reports on Jamin Davis are devastating. What a bust of a first rounder at a position we could not afford it.
  12. I may have missed this during the draft, but what was the Packers offer to us in terms of a trade?
  13. You forgot another thing about the guys we sign now. They almost always played for the Panthers at some point. That is the new "Washington Way"...
  14. The reason I think we can afford to be optimistic about Chris Paul is that our OL coaching is the strength of our staff. If anyone can develop a late round player, it is our OL coaches. That said, I'd temper expectations on him this year. From what I've heard on Keim's pod, among other sources, is that he is very raw. I just hope we don't try and stash him on the PS just to see some time pluck him from us.
  15. I can't speak for anyone else, but I think I would be very pleased but for me to get back into my 1998 headspace, I need to see an organization with wholesale change in culture that I can be proud of again. As much as I'd like to say that simply winning would do the trick, I think age and experience have made me appreciate organizations when I feel like I can respect them from the inside out. Not expecting a church choir here but just want to feel proud of representing my "colors". One winning season won't do that for me.
  16. I still would like a top-tier LB (first three rounds). Otherwise agree.
  17. I agree. OT is one of the positions where FA routinely get huge cash and I think a smart way to build/maintain a perennial winning OL is to restock through the draft, including drafting an OT in the first/second every few years.
  18. I take it you're a lawyer if you hold these views regarding statements she's made in the past. If so, for those of us in the room who don't have a legal background, can you just provide a high level summary of where she's wrong and why? Not trying to be combative, just genuinely curious.
  19. This is all so demoralizing. NFL - get rid of him already. NO ONE thinks this guy is good for the league. No one. It will only get worse.
