  1. I don't disagree with you but would caution against breaking the bank for either of those two positions. Really, LB/CB/RB are now the most urgent needs.
  2. We should sign a FA vet. I'm not comfortable with Patterson to be honest. As for Robinson, am so glad he appears to be doing well. Sending good thoughts his way.
  3. Guessing it's a money thing. Flowers would also want to start (not that I mind that) however we already picked up two starting guards in FA.
  4. Eh ... guess I was mixing him up with someone else. This probably means we don't see Trai Turner to start the season...
  5. Not sure if this is the thread where this belongs but Shaka Toney's name comes up on occasion (usually from Keim). Has anyone watched him this preseason? Has he improved and do we think he has a shot to be a situational pass rusher that makes a difference? I remember seeing his Penn State cut ups after we drafted him and I was pretty excited.
  6. Forgot about that guy ... I recall him being pretty good.
  7. The part referencing the linebackers has me worried
  8. Interesting take by Standig on Davis. We really need this to be true, given our LB situation and 3rd down D. I'm disappointed to hear about Dyami Brown. I was hoping he'd make a jump this year especially with a better QB passing him the ball. I'm banking on Robinson as RB1 and will plan accordingly, fantasy-wise. 😎
  9. I thought we were hoping Curtis Samuel could be another Deebo.
  10. That's good stuff. Hopefully he can get mentally back to baseline (always hard to do post-injury - to trust the joint). We need him.
  11. I'm eager to hear how Howell looked vs the 1s in practice. Can't seem to locate any reports of it on Twitter.
  12. I say we keep him: 1) We need more weapons, not less 2) Injuries happen and we need talent in case people get injured (see above) 3) He's on his rookie contract 4) We wouldn't get enough in a trade to make it worthwhile
  13. He should be a third down back - maybe find a way to put him out there in a swiss army knife role.
  14. He's the guy I wanted, too. He's gonna be a beast and not too much tread on the tires either.
  15. First off, thanks for posting this. I love data and appreciate you taking the time to look this up and post it. That said, I'm not sure how much we can glean from limited action for each player. Makes these grades a little difficult to interpret.
  16. I'm not saying he will but he SHOULD. It's almost criminal that our D is as bad as it is given the talent level. Given the JDR escapades of the offseason, one wonders if the players are having motivation problems in addition to whatever inadequacies JDR has in terms of his strategy as a coach.
  17. Couldn't agree more. To me, JDR is a big reason for what's holding this D back. Ron needs to get with the program and if our D looks as bad in weeks 1-3 as they did in the preseason game v. Carolina, he needs to be shown the door.
  18. After trotting out a subpar D outing this first preseason and after all of what happened in the offseason, if JDR isn't on the hot seat - Ron should be. This D is awful.
  19. I'm wondering what it would take to get Landon Collins to agree to return. We can't really justify his old contract but maybe if no one else bites on him, he'll consider returning on a prove it deal or something like that.
  20. Camp cuts are our best bet. Older vet who is really savvy but slightly past prime for a one year rental. We NEED to get this addressed in next years draft.
