  1. He was recruited as a TE but didn’t he take most of his snaps the past couple seasons at tackle? (I don’t have access to a PFF breakdown of snaps)
  2. Both guys were tackles at NDSU. To your point, Radunz was tried out as a tackle but the Titans shifted him inside and they list him on the depth chart as a guard, where he has struggled as well. The difference is that Mauch is penciled in from the start as a guard. My point still holds. Take a look at this list of NDSU draftees - I don't see anyone who has really outperformed their draft position. All of these guys have, at best, performed to their draft position (such as Joe Haeg) but most of them are underperformers it seems You're probably right on Martin's role ultimately. I had heard talk about him as a single high on podcasts, which is why I threw it out there. What gets me is that they supposedly want Curl playing BN less due to the wear and tear but Martin is even smaller.
  3. If Quan can be a true single high free safety, I think taking him in the second is worth it. We haven’t had one of those guys since arguably ST21. These guys are not easy to find. On Mauch, you have to consider the level of competition he was facing. NDSU is the Alabama of their league and they get all the best players. For comparison sake, Dillon Radunz was a predraft darling who was also taken in the second round who has been a bust for the Titans.
  4. With Wynn off the market, Risner is interesting but a guy that interest me a lot is Jason Peters. At 40, the guy was still a good player for the Cowboys last year (over 70 PFF rating). He is probably not a fulltime starter and don't think he wants to go through training camp at this age. We do have a valuable connection to him in Juan Castillo - he has coached Peters twice in Philly and then recently in Chicago
  5. Wonder what the ranking is if you add someone like Isaiah Wynn
  6. Fromm is crap. I hope Ta’amu gets a chance. I admire the way he has grinded it out in the minor leagues and worked on his weaknesses. His big knock was his processing ability, which has clearly gotten better. The guy has NFL size, an NFL arm and is mobile Supposedly his team interviews were weird too with a lot of unnatural scripted answers
  7. What is the likelihood we sign Ta’amu after the XFL Championship? He’s been here and had two stints with EB
  8. Kalen DeBoer has been good for him. I think he should have come out this year. He would have had a great opportunity to be a mid to late 1st round pick
  9. Of the guys on that list outside of Williams/Maye, I like Penix the most. Issue is that guy is a walking injury
  10. I think a saving grace is the NFL knows we need to start winning asap to win the fanbase back and to grease things for Harris. That might help lessen the blow of a penalty
  11. Off topic but I feel a little bad for Mayock. Supposedly it was Gruden who was commandeering the draft room and making the Day 1 and Day 2 picks. Mayock then took guys like Crosby, Renfrow and Moreau on Day 3 He gets hit with the slander. I don’t feel fully bad for him because he got GM money for a few years
  12. They can PUP Larsen like they did last year. The guy knows how to get himself ready without a formal training camp. Basically gives you an extra OL wo taking up a roster spot on the opening roster
  13. He has safety versatility too that this team never used here. I believe he played some safety for the Chiefs. I agree. Of all the vets, he’s a guy you keep for this year
  14. Yes. He mentioned Norwell is a goner but seemed to imply Fuller and Thomas are safe. At least you get a comp pick for Fuller after this year, assuming he is half decent this season
  15. Didn't they trade a 5th for CJGJ? So they are basically getting the pick back two years later
  16. Yep his play fell off a cliff last year. Was supposedly dealing w personal issues Not a character guy but Isaiah Wynn at $5M on a 1 year deal would be interesting
  17. Queen was pretty bad as a rookie and 2nd year guy. You are correct that he did play better once Roquan joined the team and his responsibilities were pared back. I’d give up a 6th or 7th for him but not much more than that. Simmons has not been good either but he’d be a more interesting gamble
  18. Castro-Fields was picked off SF's practice squad. They had to let him go due to the depth they had last year at CB
  19. @KDawg What was your eval on Carter Warren? Logan Paulsen made a Morgan Moses comp and implied they should have drafted him instead. You could tell Daniels is the pick he is lowest on.
  20. Hudson showed something last year in the finale. He is a small small dude however at 6-0 220 with 29.5 inch arms. He's fine as a 5th LB. However, they need two more guys. You've failed if Mayo or Gerry are on the season opening roster. It was a shame they did not sign Anthony Walker when they brought him in. There are competent players to be had now. Kwon Alexander, Zach Cunningham, Damien Wilson, Rashaan Evans and Jayon Brown would all be depth upgrades. The issue is most of these guys won't play special teams. I think that it is fine to have your primary backup not play special teams. Find a way to work around that
  21. Setauket I never understood the ****ing that this draft was not deep. Starting with Hodges-Tomlinson, Skinner, Duncan, Boutte, McKee and Wypler, you had a number of intriguing names in the 6th round this year
  22. My wife is a Stony Brook alum and her family lives 5 minutes away. Nice place to visit in the summer
  23. @Voice_of_Reason must love Thor's appearance on the Galdi podcast today
