  1. Given this is the deepest tackle draft ever, we are virtually guaranteed a first round caliber tackle with at least that first second round pick. We also have the resources in FA to go be high bidders for the likes of Connor Williams and Onwenu if we choose to do that…unless you have a ridiculous standard and you expect 5 All Pros as starters
  2. Their SOS has got be incredibly weak with them playing in the NFC South I know all mocks tie MHJ to AZ but you would think logically that they would want ro start over with Maye
  3. Eh wouldn’t be surprised to learn after the game that the block was due to slow snap speed
  4. As a former jiu jitsu guy, what happened to Payne was the equivalent of an armbar. At minimum, a bad hyperextension - there are nerve related consequences
  5. One of Sheehan’s best criticisms about the org is that, under Snyder, the theme was arrogant + stupid. Rivera truly exemplifies these values
  6. We know he said no to Wade Phillips but he mentioned on Sheehan’s show this week he attempted to make a run at a certain stud DC (forget who) but didn’t get him. My guess is the top DC names didn’t want to come here during the second half of the Snyder era
  7. A good piece of this is also Harris’s fault with the “sit back and observe approach.” They could’ve gotten an extension done during camp
  8. I think they are winning the South. Dave Canales has Baker cooking I think Eberfluss is the top guy to go after. Testament to him that his team did not quit on him and he is getting a lot out of his talent since they got Sweat. Gruden was saying if he were looking to get a DC, Eberfluss would be the top guy he’d go after
  9. I don’t buy it given he has a year left on his rookie deal (if the option is not exercised) and he has not proven he consistently wins as a passer
  10. The mistake they made with Sweat was not getting the extension done after the 2021 season or last season. EDGE salaries have exploded
  11. Yep. The Eagles tanking that meaningless game in 2020 against us in the finale paid huge dividends for them with the pick they ultimately got
  12. @El Mexican I remember Ogden also being a hell of a run blocker. Do you think Fashanu is at that level? It’s going to be painful but if the Jets are to win, Sam is going to have to be terrible and throw a pick six and a couple more picks
  13. If you are set on Howell, if we were to land the #3 or #4 pick and a team were to offer a couple firsts a a couple seconds to move up, it is tempting but I am taking MHJ if he is there.
  14. Per Sheehan, he’s apparently a top 5 guard over past 5 weeks per PFF. The guy is developing into a Pro Bowl talent. I’d definitely extend him if they think he can stay healthy
  15. Based on what the Giants got for Williams, I think the floor for Allen is a 2nd. What will help here is that this a solid at best FA class for DTs and the draft class is pretty bad. The Seahawks probably gave up the comp they gave up for Williams partially because they saw that. Your DT rotation is still solid without Allen. Assuming a 4-3, you have your two nose tackles in Mathis and Ridgeway. You let Payne play the three technique and you go get a backup for him in FA or the draft.
  16. Tongue in cheek but kind of crazy how all three of these guys make a top 5 list of biggest egos in the Snyder era
  17. Depends on the need you are trying to solve and who you are taking. I, for example, would be ok with them solving RT via the draft and keeping Leno one more year at LT. I also think this draft is loaded up with tooled up tackles who may fall to the late first / second who would typically be surefire first round picks. Guyton, Suamataia and Paul are examples (given his brother is lazy bum, I don’t want Paul but I like the other two)
  18. Eh I think his ego and insistence that he get treated as a traditional QB was going to destroy him anyway
  19. I hope we don’t get the #2 pick. Our history is Lavar, RG3 and Chase lol I hope we get the #3 pick - Chris Samuels
  20. This makes sense. Quan has been more of a nickel corner vs a safety and he played a 100% of the snaps Sunday. So if nickel is out, you are sitting one of BSJ or Kendall. At this point, Kendall has done what he needs to do to get a nice FA deal for himself next season. I’d just ask him if he is willing to go on IR w some phantom injury
  21. A lot of good college tackles just don’t have the length for the pros. Graham Barton is a guy in this draft who is a good college tackle who will have to move to center or guard die to shorter arm length.
