The Seahawks are probably not going to retain Fant given that they just gave Dissly a multiyear deal. Iโd want to understand just how good he has become as a blocker. I donโt really want a move TE. I canโt get Pittmanโs terrible game against us last year out of my head. He is a heck of a possession receiver though and can man the X. I take Mike Evans over both on a 3 year deal if he were open to coming here

Everything Iโve heard about Reaves is he is a valued leader. Not having him definitely hurt the locker room. One of the reasons I want Allen gone for a 2nd. Need to open room for new leaders who truly are leaders. -

They did not give up the second for Sweat because their offer was beaten by the Bears who had a very high 2nd at the time -

It's good. As bad as Wilson is, he has gotten hot in a few games this season. Siemian has not -

Outside of overrating Wylie, this was pretty good analysis off the board. It was interesting to see these guys get hyped about what the team can do with the cap space and picks. The key takeaway from this is that FA is overall deeper in defensive talent and this yearโs draft is much deeper in offensive talent. Also Spotracโs FA list is off - did not realize that Bryce Huff and Jon Greenard are also FAs. That only adds to the depth of the FA EDGE class. I totally agree with these guys that I think you double dip and pick up two of these starting caliber EDGE rushers in FA -
Heโs the best โmiddle classโ safety target for us to pursue as he solves the FS problem. Martin takes over Kamโs role and Forrest plays SS next season with Butler and Reaves as depth. I do want them to check in with Winfieldโs camp. Winfield is having a 1st team All Pro type of season at FS for the Bucs. 91 PFF grade with 5 sacks, 5 FFs and 3 picks. You and I are in the same camp regarding the need for blue chip players. Winfield is, without a doubt, a blue chip player

Yeah I donโt get it. That is a team that is light on talent that needs to rebuild with a rookie QB -
Yep. Dude is just raw right now due to lack of playing time but has all the athletic tools to eventually play LT if he can clean up his technique
-
Yep. When Sam was taking a ton of sacks early in the season, Lucas played a game for Leno and did pretty well like he usually does. The issue for Lucas is he is very good for a few games and then doesn't hold up as well. I think he is the best swing tackle in the league though

I heard that from Keim as well. Keim was pointing out that Quan has not made highlight type of plays so far. I think that with his freakish athleticism and physicality, it will come in a better scheme with a more creative DC

Fits very well with that Arthur Smith offense if they keep him around -
Jordan Morgan may make it there although there are questions he can be a RT due to the lack of length. I think the upside on guys like Suamataia and Paul pull them into the early 2nd

He may want to emulate the organizational structure but that doesnโt necessarily mean the Ravens guys are the leading candidates. -

I have a strong feeling that Peters is the guy they really want (read between the lines thru Keim) but they are not sure they get him because he works for the org he grew up a fan of and all his family is in the Bay Area. If they canโt get him, I agree that Cunningham is the second choice - Keim mentioned he met at Harris at the special conference for owners to meet minority candidates a month or two ago. The Bears starting to turn it around midseason really helps his candidacy -

I think you let Terry play because he is in spitting distance of having a 1k season. After having to deal with Samโs growing pains and not ****ing about it, give him that at least. Forcefeed him with screens and slants in the first half to get him there and then sit hin -
Leonard Williams set the market for 3 tech DTs. I think floor for Jon esp given his cap hit to an inheriting team is a 2nd. Highly doubt we get a 1st You have to keep Terry. Compare how he has treated Sam to how AJ Brown has treated Hurts. A young QB will need someone like Terry greatly

I agree on Penix having a floor of going late first. The value vs risk is too great to ignore there. If you draft him, you do need to also pay up for one of the better backup QBs. Outside the top 3 teams, NYG, DEN, PIT, LV and ATL definitely need QBs. Payton took a risk once on a guy with major injury issues in Brees and that paid off in spades for him. I could see him falling in love with Penix. TEN, TB, AZ, SEA, MIN and NO could also be likely players in the starting QB market.

Part of it could be that the coaches may have overindexed on avoiding sacks as they have coached him. -
I feel the bust rate is higher in the NFL for these big X receiver types than the slot guys and the Z types, probably because many of the big X types in college are behind their peers on the technical aspects of the game. I would be fine with trying to solve this need in FA vs gambling on a 2nd or 3rd round rookie. Solving the big X spot is important because it would allow Terry to play more Z and slot where he is better equipped and would provide a boost with run blocking

Do you mean physically? The upside with his body type is he is built like a RB and built to absorb hits. I believe he was 230+ at one point in college before trimming down. If genetics play a role, his dad was a college wrestler
