Time to get rid of Schultz and find ourselves a REAL defenseman to replace him.

If the Caps are smart, they will unload Semin or maybe Varly (if we apparently aren't going to use him) to build some depth.
Ellis
I'm ok with Varly going. I really want to see Brooks Laich stay.
dockeryfan
If the Caps are smart, they will unload Semin or maybe Varly (if we apparently aren't going to use him) to build some depth. Varly is great. But he can't stay healthy for 2 years in a row now. He won't take a one year deal, so in my mind, you absolutely have to trade him. Neuvy showed me everything last year, both regular season and in the playoffs, and I love what I saw. Holtby looks great as well. If GM does not trade Varly it will be a huge shortcoming on his part. And i am also in the trade Semin camp. Get what you can for an extremely talented guy.
BRAVEONTHEWARPATH93
yeah keep Brooksie...he shows balls when others don't *tears* get rid of Varly (he will always be my man for the save on Cindy and like a gangsta, making everyone say his name right) and...if... Alex...Semin...is on... this ************* team next year, ....

ixcuincle
I heard a rumor that Varly would go to the KHL Don't know if this is true or not He did well against Rangers but it's a new time now
PokerPacker
Captials goalie coach Arturs Irbe will not be returning next season due to personal matters or some such. Wouldn't it be great if we brought back Olie Kolzig to fill that vacancy? so umm... yeah.

Sticksboi05
No meetings set up between now and July 1st for Laich. Reports suggest he may be 100% ready to test the market and sign with another team for big bucks. http://www.japersrink.com/2011/6/15/2226463/new-fanpoll-how-much-will-brooks-laich-make-next-year For the money he may want, he's not worth keeping but It'd be too bad. Either way, a free agent I want on this team...Ville Leino. ---------- Post added June-20th-2011 at 12:46 AM ---------- The post kept hanging up so I didn't think it got through.
