skinsfanbu
The time to deal is when a team is desperate. There may be chance this deal could go through...What do you think? HTTR,
Fred Jones
I like Betts and think he is going to do well this year. This would be a good deal from the Redskins standpoint as long as Ogunleye agreed to a Redskins friendly contract. However, Miami won't agree to this trade. I think Ogunleye will end up staying with Miami this season. Edit: Didn't know that Ricky Williams is retiring. Maybe Miami might consider it. AJWatson3
it's going to take a lot to pry Ogunleye from MIA, even if they are desperate. Betts and Sultan (arguably two RB's no better than any on MIA's current roster) for Ogunleye is an absurd proposition.
Phat Hog
No way I make that trade if I am Miami...
PCS
If I'm Miami, sure I'm all of sudden a little desperate, but not that desperate. Sultan may not even be with the team much longer and Betts, though he has shown flashes, is still a very much unproven player. Are those 2 together better than what the Dolphins may find on the market? Could be. If Miami is going to throw O on the block in order to get a quality back, they can do better I'm sure than this trade. Or at least they would hope so. Gilgamesh
I love the concept, but even a desperate Miami is not that foolish...too bad Jerrah is not the GM in Miami...
manichispanic
We have all the future we need with CP, and rock is more than an adequate back. I like Betts, but i can see us shipping him off in a package deal for Ogun
Fred Jones
We could throw in Gardner and maybe a low to mid round pick or just add in mid round pick.

Akhhorus
why would Miami do this trade when they could probably get Larry Johnson for O-Gun
Hooper
Yeah, they'd do that -- if we threw in a first and Patrick Ramsey. Lay off the Ricky Williams chronic, my friend.
TLusby
I would consider Betts and Sultan but I would be concerned about our RB depth. I would be in favor of trading Samuels or next years first rounder since it will be #32.
lead commander
if we could make that trade.you do it in a heart beat...but no way the dolphin mgmt takes that deal...but it would be real sweet if they did....
kappaluvacee
We should wait to see what Miami is interested in before we make a pitch to them. We might be able to get what we want for less of a price than we were willing to bid.
atloldskin
From Miami's perspective, why would they want two RBs? We could trade them Betts and a #1 or a #2.
@DCGoldPants
There are RB's on the open market who have more experience than those two. That's a pipe dream. Maybe Betts and a guy like Rod Gardner for dude and it COULD make sense. But, I doubt it.

GSF
Sultan and Betts for Ogun? Well I guess, but they'd have to throw in some draft picks.
Akhhorus
I hear the skins might be able to trade Hamdran for Peyton Manning(but if the Colts throw in a first rounder)
redskns21
I saw a thread on FinHeaven where a poster proposed a Ogunleye for Betts and Randy Thomas deal. This is way off.

I thought we dont have our #2 pick since we used it to get Cooley. Besides, Betts, who has shown glimpses as a good backup RB, and Sultan, whose really shown great things in a preseason game, for arguably one of the leagues best DE's? Tell me if we would do that if we had a guy like that. And I agree with The X-Factor, we woulda gone after Kearse if we wanted to dish out big money. Face it, Ogunleye wants money, and we have paid too many other players to pay him what he wants, and no, he wont take a redskins friendly contract. Why has he come back in the picture anyways, didnt we stop talking about him about 3 weeks ago?
