I'm surprised that it seems that most of the players in this league are older. I thought they'd have a lot of the 2020-2022 players that weren't drafted or got cut but it seems like most of the players they mention were in college much earlier. Hell, some of the QB's are from a decade ago.

Watching DC Defenders vs. Seattle Sea Dragons. Pretty exciting game with the rule changes*.

Among the NFL connections... Jim Haslett is HC of Seattle and Gregg Williams is D Coordinator for DC. Former WFT QB Steven Montez is quarterbacking for Seattle. Josh Gordon playing for Seattle, as well.

*For example, there's no extra point kick after a touchdown. Either you go for an extra point by running a play from the 1 yard line, or you go for 2 by running a play from the 5 yard line, or you go for 3 by running a play from the 10 yard line.

Also, on kick-offs the players line up 5 yards from each other and nobody is allowed to move until the returner catches the ball.

WHOOHOOO!!! The Defenders won 22-18.

Finally a DC football team not owned by Doofus Dan. Gregg Williams defense won that game. Their offense did almost nothing. 2 Picks, one of them for 6 accounted for all of their 2nd half points.

Great stop at the end to keep the Sea Monkies out of the endzone.

The XFL isn't even close to the NFL for talent but it's actually kind of cool with the different rules, refs not determining most games and getting to hear the actual play calls is cool too.

Yeah that game was all on the D. Specifically the two Michael Joseph picks including the pick six.

I don't get why they started Ta'amu when D'Eriq King was much better in moving the offense.

Sounds like Houston, Dallas, and DC each drew roughly 5000 less for their games this time around compared to their openers in 2020 (12000 vs 17000 for each). San Antonio, which didn't have an XFL team in 2020 (and of course has no NFL team), drew about 24K today.

That former Cowturds QB looked pretty good, except for the half a dozen times he threw the ball directly to a defender. Those 2 picks could have easily been 4-5.

King was moving the ball by running. I didn't see him do anything passing the ball but the other guy wasn't lighting it up either.

Seems like that league needs better QB's. It's odd that more of the 2nd tier QB's who didn't make NFL teams the last couple years aren't playing in this league. Most of the QB's are older scrubs.

Better QBs might be waiting to see how the league does before dedicating the time & energy all for a $60K salary perhaps?
