Top of the 8th now and O's just retook the lead 10-9 of Urias single. I'd consider it a minor victory if we can get through that with 4 wins or better. Especially since our starting pitching is iffy. Henderson strikes out with bases loaded to end the inning, next inning Hays gets a singled (followed by Frazier double) Having Stowers and Henderson both start is almost like conceding the game. With the inherited runner, I would have kept Cano in as he was dealing. Or at least, you have Bautista pitch the 9th. He's not so great with runners on because of his wild pitches, and that was the reason why the Braves were able to tie it up in the 10th. DCSaints_fan Posted May 10, 2023 Author Share Posted May 10, 2023 I caught the last three innings Stowers made a goof in right field which turned a single into a double in the 8th. Apparently took his eyes off the ball and peaked at the runner. Cano was then switched out for Bautista with two outs. Bautista unfortunately continues to throw wild pitches and walk batters, and struggles to hold the runner. I'm not sure why Hyde thinks he's a good option with runners on.
