My grandfather was from WV and hilarious...he used to say they used a brown corn cob, then a white corn cob to see if they needed another brown one. 

 

If his dog (Bam Bam) was licking his toes, he'd tell Me Maw to "get some peanut butter to go with this toe jam" ...I swear, I miss just listening to him tell stories for hours on end.
