Califan007 The Constipated
So is Lafleur looking like the offensive genius the Redskins were too stupid to realize was on the team?

Califan007 The Constipated
Come on...that was clearly offensive pass interference...I mean, he tried to actually catch the pass. That's illegal. 3 minutes ago, Malapropismic Depository said: Kevin O'Connell got that label before coaching a single game as OC. 😂 Nope, because the Skins weren't too stupid to realize he was on the team lol...you gotta know your media templates, son! Voice_of_Reason
Jay needs to make a note of this: you CANNOT pass on the bears defense in known passing situation. If you get behind hind the sticks, you’re done. You MUST get yards on first down, and mix run and pass when you have the whole playbook available to you. You cannot be in known passing situations or you will 1. Fail and 2. Get your QB killed. 14 minutes ago, Califan007 said: So is Lafleur looking like the offensive genius the Redskins were too stupid to realize was on the team? Honestly I think the Bears defense might make Bill Walsh look a bit like Jim Zorn. ———— Also, Manusky should be taking notes: Bring pressure from everywhere, crowd the line of scrimmage, stop the run and bring heat on Mitch. This offense isn’t great. Pressure.

abdcskins
RPO isn't working for the Bears tonight. They are better off running singleback sets. This is an important drive for them.

I am not sure I’d go that far. I think they’ve tried a bunch of things which haven’t worked. Though, when you don’t play at all in the preseason, it could just be really out of sync execution. The packers offense looks bad. Some of that is on them. Some of it is the bears are making them look bad. LaFluer did not do a great job preparing his team. This is hard to watch. Too many stupid mistakes.

Full disclosure: I didn't start watching the game until right before halftime..so I was genuinely asking, although a bit snarkily lol. Annnnnd, another blown drive in the game. Jeebus. SkinsFTW
Kind of hard to believe that the Bears couldn't find a single kicker to try a 50 yarder when they had a dozen or so in camp lol.
Voice_of_Reason
I don’t understand why they don’t try some quick game on 1st downs. Everything is either a run, 7 step drop or play action. Something quick to get 4-5 yards would be good...
Califan007 The Constipated
Is every Rodgers pass attempt meant to be a 50 yarder?

Voice_of_Reason
I know he’s definitely lost his fast ball a bit but I really like Al Michaels. Tonight.... “If that’s clear and obvious then I’m an astronaut.” ”pull him down by his NECK.” My most cherished call was “Going deeeeeep for Moss....” in the Monday Night Miracle. Clearly his most famous call of all time was “do you believe in Miracles!”

Voice_of_Reason
Unless my betting research is wrong, the over/under for the game was 46.5. I hazard to guess that if you played the under you’re feeling pretty good about yourself right about now... ——— So why didn’t they try this to start the game? We have no idea how good or bad our offense is yet. I’m at least going to give it until they’ve taken the field to judge them. But the Bears offense is pretty stinky...
