I think a good indicator of CB level, though not super exact, is Pass Defense Ranking.

Last year, our pass defense was ranked 15th in the NFL.

Not great, but not bad, and not nearly as bad as the CB ranking.

And we have the same starting corners this year. And upgraded Safety. So I think that's more meaningful, than their formula for rating our corners.

We need @volsmet to negotiate the deal.  Bruce apparently might not be loved over there in the Texan FO. 😀

If that's so, it reminds me some of the talk about the RG3 deal.  At the time it was said that someone with the Rams I think it was either their GM or Fisher who couldn't stand Bruce so others had to do the direct negotiation.

I can see that.

Trying to talk football semi-seriously on the ES, always interesting.

Kerrigan & Sweat aren’t viewed as LBs in any nfl fo, they’re DE’s. Who needs reality.

Maybe pff is out of line with their rankings & groupings too, maybe they don’t have enough ESperts on staff.

Oh good lord....there’s a rumor that redskins and Vikings are finalizing a deal to send Trent to them in exchange for Stefon diggs and a pick (@NFL_Trade_News on Twitter reported this rumor....i doubt this is true 😂

Trent for Diggs and Reiff has been my ideal trade all along. But I didn't start the rumor :806:

Would love if any of these trade rumors finally materialize. Pull the trigger, Bruce.  Don't drag this deal out any longer and end up with zero in return.

Yep negotiation skills I don't think is Bruce's forte.   Ditto trades aside from moving up and down in the draft.  Prove me wrong Bruce.  I don't mind it dragging out until now.  This coming week is about the time frame that I considered makes sense.  But don't IMO drag it until the season, too risky I think. 😀

One of the rumors I saw on twitter the other day (thought I think it was just from some blog fan type was Trent for AJ Green.  I hope not.  But it would fit the win now drill.  The post below, that dude has 100,000 followers, so I take him a little seriously.

Texans trading a receiver?   I saw some Redskins fans hyping Hopkins on twitter but to me no way they trade him.  He's arguably the best receiver in the NFL.  I wouldn't trade Hopkins if I were them and definitely not for Trent.  Maybe Will Fuller.  And I wouldn't make that trade if I were the Redskins.   Get some picks.

Can we deputize @volsemt so he can make a deal with Chris Cooper?

ooh a young stud TE is just what the doctor ordered

Agree but I think zero chance Tampa trades Howard.  They got blocking issues and they trade one of the best blocking TE's in the league in his prime?  Be awesome but I doubt it.  I can see Evans though on the trading block.

Tunsil on the trading block in theory would dilute Trent's value some.  that would mean 2 LT's on the block, one who is 31 and the other 25.  I am guessing there has to be something cooking with Tunsil because he's a good young player in his prime -- they are worried about him and weed again or something?

Hopkins ain't going anywhere my very long time best friend(huge phins fan)says the rumors of tunsil being shopped is poop

Not sure though how a fan would know.  I am in South Florida I know their sports writers writings fairly well -- Omar Kelly from the Sentinel is reliable typically I'll track him.  It would make their interest in Trent supposedly from awhile back make a little more sense.  But it still seems weird for them to want to deal him unless there is something about Tunsil they don't trust.  And I continually read about how obsessed the owner is with getting Tua so maybe they want to continue to add draft capital to make that easy.

Completely 100% agree with you as I sent that post in it hit me that it might look like I'm trying to say my friend is an Insider LOL and he's just a goofball Idahoan from Florida like me except for me I'm not from Florida lol.. I told him not to hold his hand over his ass

This guy covers the dolphins for SB nation.   The guaranteed money part throws me off though if they are interested in Trent. Yeah Trent doesn't have much guaranteed money left but if you are trading for him I presume you intend to pay him, guaranteed money or not
