SkinsHokieFan
@Joelsherman1 - Hearing #Nationals have 1-yr deal with Yusmeiro Petit, pending physical #sfgiants Likely replacement in Stammens role. Been a fan of Petit for a while If anyone recalls he was lockdown against the Nats in that 18 inning marathon playoff game. Critical to not killing the Giants BP that night

CRobi21
@chelsea_janes - According to person familiar, Nationals do indeed have deal in place with RH reliever Yusmeiro Petit -- $2.5M in 2016 with 2017 club option. No done deal with the Nationals and righty Shawn Kelley, by the way. Doesn't mean there won't be, but nothing's official as of now.

Bacon
The BP was my primary concern heading into the off-season, so I'm pleased with the attention we've shown it. So, so crucial that we improve in the later innings.

CRobi21
Sounds like a done deal. Waiting for word on our return. @Alden_Gonzalez - I hear one of the Angels' relievers is headed to DC for Escobar, though not sure who. Could be Trevor Gott. TheGoodBits
Good deal. He was expendable. Espinosa can handle SS duties. Turner at 2B and Rendon at 3B works for me.
CRobi21
@Alden_Gonzalez - Looks like it is, indeed, Trevor Gott going to DC. Nothing official yet, though. @AndrewSimonMLB - Trevor Gott: -Age 23 RH -3.02 ERA in 47.2 IP as rookie -Threw ~85% 4-seam w/ 96.7 mph avg -27-16 K-BB in 47.2 IP but had 9.5 K/9 in Minors
TheGoodBits
30 saves in the minors the past 3 years. Probably projects as a set up guy? Still young (23) so definitely some upside too. He appeared in 48 games for LAA last year.
Metalhead
Solid trade. Angels fans are upset, I know that much. We'll have Gott at least through 2021.

I don't really trust Espinosa, and Turner is unproven. I'd ideally like to sign a 2B/SS And I still think they'll make a move for a closer. StillUnknown
Jon HeymanVerified account@JonHeymanCBSHear, too, that heyward is said to have a $200M offer. More likely to be from nats or cards than cubs. Could be 4th team tho. J heyward would hit a lot of areas we need help and he's still only 26 so the best should still be well in front of him if he's signed, i'd bat him leadoff
