abdcskins
Yeah I don't mind Stix talking smack to the crowd. Who knows what they were saying to him. He's been balling his face off lately, let him talk. Turgeon had to run up and yell at him - that's what coaches do. I'm rewinding to watch again that was so nice. Maryland was down 7 with 2:37 left. Cowan and Wiggins hit some monster threes. Stix had a nice driving shot. Played some good D. That's what clutch players do. Gonna need that come March. abdcskins
Vintage Cowan tonight. Drove the ball to the hoop and finished consistently. Amazing body control and finishing ability. Hit some threes. 31 points and 6 assists. Spectacular game. Stix was a beast defensively and made his presence known offensively too. Perfect from the free throw line, he hit seven or so. Undefeated at home. Nice win. 1
Redskin4ever
I love when Cowan takes over by driving to the basket. It just really opens up the entire offense when he does that. There were plenty of times the defense just wanted no part of him driving. Not a perfect game from MD, but definitely a very good game. If they play like that, they are tough to beat.
Long n Left
Very good game for the Terps. They still show some weaknesses, their size overall being a big issue with the twins departure, but it has allowed Stix to blossom into the player we’d hoped he’d become. When Cowan is firing on all cylinders like last night, this is a dangerous team. They’re gonna need another big to step up before tournament time though, or they will have trouble against tall, long, athletic teams. Chol or Lindo need to get the time to make that happen. Can’t keep sending Morsel out to guard guys 5-6 inches taller than him. Good win. Hope they use the momentum created, because they’ve got a tough stretch of games upcoming. Keep protecting your house men!

abdcskins
Morsell and Stix have had some ridiculous dunks tonight. Jalen's defense has been so good this year. Starting to turn it on this second half. Rutgers is scrappy though.

They really limited what MD did in the half court offense. Rutgers offensively though, looked bad. Jalen Smith helped A LOT with that. He has been playing great these last few games. He has been really fun to watch. 1
Long n Left
Good win, but an UGLY game last night. Has a lot to do with Rutgers style and game plan. They are long and athletic, and were determined to muck up the inside, and not let Cowan’s penetration, and Stix beat them at the rim. Stix had a good night hitting threes, played great rim protecting defense, and rebounded like a monster. He has really raised the level of his game since the twins left, and is working his way into an NBA lottery pick. Cowan did enough, and Rutgers offensive failures let the Terps escape. Right now, this team is only going as far as Cowan and Stix can take them. If either of those two have an off night, good chance Terps lose. Ayala has been bad lately, and getting worse. Wiggins still contributes defensively and on the glass, but looks like his shooting confidence is running low. If those guys don’t pick up their play this next month, my opinion is it’ll be another early exit from the NCAA’s. This team has talent, but some others (not named Cowan and Stix) need to step up. Turge has effectively gone to a 6 man rotation, and those guys will be gassed by tournament time. Lindo and Marial especially, IMO, need to get some run, and need to play alongside Stix, not instead of him. Maryland won last night because Cowan and Stix willed it, and performed. Also, because Rutgers shot even worse. Terps can’t continue to shoot this poorly as a team and win, it’s just not sustainable.
