CrypticVillain
I like it. Can't lie, I am guilty of not "looking up" from time to time, but it's not like I am a robot. I still say high to people. I would gladly partake in some small talk if a person wants to small talk. I'm just not the type of person who would start the small talk. Did technology have an effect on me not being able talk to somebody in the streets out of the blue? Probably not. Even if my cell phone is dead, I still probably wouldn't say anything to anybody first lol One more thing, when my family is together, I try my best to make sure the TV is off. It just feels better when we socialize with the TV off.

Zguy28
The more people I meet the more I like my cellphone Just kidding this seems to be the popular message nowadays but nobody is looking up. It is worse now than ever When I look at folks all the time (I'm guilty too), I think of a Star Trek TNG episode where these aliens began to take over by addicting the crew members to a video game that functioned like a HUD. Sorry, I wasn't looking up when I posted this. But then the rest of my family is asleep right now.
Bubble Screen
Just look up when you are driving dammit. Any other time I don't care. This. You don't know how bad I want NC to ban cellphones while driving. Hands-free..ALL of it!
Dont Taze Me Bro
This. You don't know how bad I want NC to ban cellphones while driving. Hands-free..ALL of it! Amen brother! On a side note, I think most people are somewhat guilty about the phone ****. I get onto my wife all the time about it. And I'm one that will shoot the **** with anyone in a social setting, so while I appreciate technology, I live for real conversation.
Elessar78
I moved away from DC and people are definitely less interesting. I can't talk about hunting or building stuff with my hands for very long. Frankly, I love the topics here in the tailgate and I used to have conversations like this with people in real life. Anything from "Who is your personal Bob Seger" to "Soccer" to Politics. I'm on my phone, because I find most people here dull. Like I've jokingly said when my wife asks why I'm on my phone at family gatherings: "tell them to be more interesting than what's on my phone and I'll pay attention." I've given them a shot. Nada. There are a few, but not enough.

Riggo-toni
Sorry, but I could not possibly make it to the end. Awful -give me the 3 minutes of my life back. DR. Seuss goes all luddite. If I want to see someone I will, whether I own a smartphone or not. I remember life before the internet, when porn wasn't free and you had to stuff a dozen paper maps in the glove compartment. Before it was kids just sit in front of the TV. Before that, the radio. YAWN. Technology is awesome.
