I keep routinely having TE Kyle Pitts fall to me at 19, which would be AWESOME, but HIGHLY unrealistic. Man, imagine on offense with Fitzpatrick tossing to McClaurin, Samuel, Thomas, Pitts and McKissic/Gibson...

I absolutely want to trade back from 19, but here's one without trading:

Round 1 Pick 19: Zaven Collins, ILB/OLB, Tulsa
Round 2 Pick 19: Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State
Round 3 Pick 10: Richie Grant, FS/SS, Central Florida
Round 3 Pick 18: Tommy Tremble, TE, Notre Dame
Round 4 Pick 19: Nico Collins, WR, Michigan
Round 5 Pick 19: Pete Werner, ILB/OLB, Ohio State
Round 7 Pick 17: Elijah Mitchell, RB, Louisiana Lafayette
Round 7 Pick 19: Tre McKitty, TE, Georgia

I'm not hopeful a lot of these guys will be available at tge picks above, but I'd be thrilled with this outcome.

This isn't my highest score, but it might be my favorite overall outcome in terms of draft haul to fill the needs of this team. I missed out on grabbing a FS and I might have gone OT a bit earlier, but having Lance fall in to my lap as a top QB that can sit and learn behind a veteran like Fitzpatrick, was too good to pass up. I will say that once again, Kyle Pitts was sitting there as well, when I picked Lance.

Your score is: 47937 (GRADE: A+)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 19: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State (A+)
Round 2 Pick 19: Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue (A+)

Round 3 Pick 18: Trey Sermon, RB, Ohio State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 22 (IND): Marlon Tuipulotu, DT, USC (A+)
Round 5 Pick 19: Pete Werner, ILB/OLB, Ohio State (A+)
Round 6 Pick 15 (MINN): Kayode Awosika, OT, Buffalo (A+)
Round 6 Pick 21 (IND): Max Richardson, ILB/OLB, Boston College (A+)

If you are of the mindset that if you don't get lucky by having one of the top QBs in Lawrence, Fields, Wilson or Lance fall to you at Pick 19, then you either take the best, most impactful player you can get or trade down...and still get a guy like that in Pitts. I would contend that these first 5 picks would be competing for starting roles on this team. Moehrig in the mid 2nd is almost as much of a steal as Pitts at 25 in the 1st, IMO.

While they can be unrealistic (Pitts dropping so far) these mock drafts are pretty good at helping to realize where there is some depth. For example, if you miss out on OT by round 3 it’s pretty much bare. Compare that with WR where there are still good players later.

Unless one of the blue chip guys drop, I think OT is the way to go with our 1st. I like Zaven Collins but I think I’d rather the pick be OT.

I agree to a point. I think it really depends on who is available at 19. If Darrisaw is there, grab him and don't look back--perfect marriage of BPA and need, IMO. But if the best OT on the board is a guy that can likely be taken in round 2 or 3 because of a run on OTs, then other players will have to have fallen that could help this team just as much. Someone like Mikah Parsons or Pitts (I know, both of those guys are likely to be gone by 19)

Who would you rather in the unlikely scenario Darrisaw, Pitts and Parsons falls? Or said another way, who would you rather fall to you at 19? Personally, Id be inclined to go Darrisaw, but it would not be an easy decision...

Oh, it’s Pitts no question for me. He’s the BPA and he also fills a slight need (move TE).

I just think there’s like a 1% chance it happens. I don’t even think Darrisaw will be there, with teams like Minnesota ahead of us. It could be a situation where we need to go BPA because we see Waddle> Cosmi, as an example. I actually think it’s more likely Devonte Smith or a top CB is available vs Pitts, unless Pitts gets a medical red flag or something bizarre like is caught on video smoking weed through a gas mask.😆

Depending on Farley’s medical, I’d also consider him in play at 19 (or possibly a trade up back to end of first or early 2 for him).

Yeah, I suppose Pitts would be the wiser choice here as he is widely regarded as the better overall prospect. I'd be just as happy coming away with a combo of OT Darrisaw & TE Freiermuth as I would TE Pitts & OT Mayfield with the first 2 picks though. I suppose it depends on what kind of player can be had in the second round.

Finally did a mock that didn't compel me to take Pitts in the 1st round! And what a steal Parsons would be, especially after trading down. Then getting Freiermuth in the 2nd would be insane. Imagine adding Parsons AND Cox to this LB corps?

Now this would be one hell of a draft haul, IMO. Lance marinates behind Fitz for a year or even two. Pair Freiermuth with Thomas at TE. Add Mayfield into the OT rotation and add Williams (height, size) and Stevenson (elite speed) to the WR corps and you have one scary offense...one that if Lance pans out, would be scary for years to come...

I really just don't think I want WFT to spend a pick on a QB this draft (unless a top one not named Jones falls), but damn, the first three picks this is would be incredible. Lol there's no way we are lucky enough to get Tremble that late. A man can dream though...

I've never traded in a mock before this year. Never felt comfortable getting into detail on something I'm not good at, math. But I've tried your scenario 3 times where we give 19, 82 and next years first to Detroit, and they take it each time. Is this even realistic? I mean, I've seen some mocks on this thread with us getting Pitts and a top 5 QB, and I know it's just folks being high on crack or being able to manipulate a simulator, with no ties to reality. Is that what is happening here? or is it semi realistic in so far as a simulator can mirror reality in the draft?

First Pick is way less realistic than PFW it seems. Like, crazy drops all the time but then I get a C+ for taking Davis Mills in the late 4th. And the site doesn't have a clear grasp of our team needs at all.

I’m pretty proud of this one. Mac Jones slipped to 19; I don’t like him as a fit for us and so I traded down with Pittsburgh. Doubled up on OT, one of them will be a guard for us, at least initially.

We would definitely be set at LB with this haul, lol. It would probably cover our secondary as well seeing as we would now have extra speed in dime packages.
Like you, I am not hot on Mac with our 1st. I do however think we need to snag Mills, Mond or Newman with our 3rd to 5th rounders, so I have been mocking roughly that way. My best so far is: #36 Etienne RB

                                                                                    #50 Leatherwood OT
                                                                                    #51 Cox LB

                                                                                    #74 Brown OT
                                                                                    #97 Jordan TE
                                                                                    #118 Smith-Marsette WR
                                                                                    #124 Thomas CB
                                                                                    #163 Newman QB
I know RB in the 1st is not the best use of assets, but trading back allowed me to turn my 7th rounders into a 4th and a 5th. So taking Etienne at the top of the 2nd still netted a blue-chip player, while covering every need with a good/great guy instead of JAG.
I still think that Kerrigan signs with us after the draft. Just my gut.
