I would like to take the opportunity to thank this Washington Redskins team as it was almost improbable of a run to even witness this disappointment. Many topics and debates will plague this board throughout the offseason, but no one can deny this has been a gratifying season with many positives that point to a very bright season.

What I will take away from this season is that we have definitely proven we will be contenders in the next few years behind the obvious franchise Qb in RG3, one hell of a Rb in Morris, and a group of "core" guys that will bring this team prominence and relevance in the future. We suffered disappointment, fellow fans, in today's loss. However, we have been given the gift of a preview of great things to come. A team that will no longer be the laughingstock of the league or the annual doormat to the NFC East. We will be the Washington Redskins. Feared, dominant, and more importantly, respected. We are on a great ride, Skins fans. Strap on your seatbelts and enjoy the ride that will remind those of us who were around to experience the glory days relived again.

Again, thank you to the Washington Redskins of 2012. And for the fans young and old, good times are now ahead.

Absolutely, congratulations to the team. Great season. Hurts to end it on such a very winnable game here. But with some offseason moves on the defense ...man, does the future look bright. Would have been depressed as hell if we had lost to the Cowgirls, SERIOUSLY proud of the guys and SERIOUSLY looking forward to next year.

PLEASE let us play Seattle again and drive them into the ground. Like Wilson, no use for the team overall, now.

I think this season was better than 2005. 2005 we did it with an aging Qb. We didn't know how long that run will ride and as history showed, it was a one season wonder. I don't feel that with this group. I see 2012 as the foundation that will eventually lead us to championships. I am very excited for the future whereas then I was unsure.

This is the most hope I've had after a loss in 20 years. The Skins gave us all hope this year and for that, a big THANK YOU! To our boys in Burgundy and Gold. I'm proud of them and proud to be a Redskins fan. RGIII is my hero still. Would things have turned out differently if we started Cousins? Maybe. But it's the decision that was made and doesn't make them a worse team.

I believe the Skins will go even further next year and I can't wait!!

10 wins?! If you predicted that at the start of the season, and stuck with it after starting 3-6, you're in the wrong line of work unless you're a Vegas casino worker. Great year with mad potential fot the future. Not sure why we imploded after a great first quarter, but I'm proud of everyone. Here's to 2013 being THE year. HTTR.

This team overachieved this year and it was a fun season. Swept Dallas and Philly and punched New York in the mouth on National TV. This team will get better and they are on the right track. The track may actually be on the way to the promised land sooner than later. Tenard Jackson, Merriweather, Orakpo, Carriker and whatever pickups the offseason brings only make this team even stronger. I was proud of this team and the loss is disappointing but it shows that the Skins are back on the right track in a tough league that is extremely hard to win each and every year.

Yes, today didn't go the way we wanted and Shanny's decision to continue to play RG3 when it was clear he couldn't play anymore will be debated.

I'm not sad today. Dissappointed but not sad. The Skins game me the greatest season as a fan since the 1991 superbowl season. For the first time since then, I have faith in the future. We have our franchise QB that will lead us to many victories. The Skins will address their weaknesses and become regular playoff contenders and probably win a championship or two or three or ??

We have our RB with Alfred. Several other guys stepped it up. I am proud of this team and they made me believers. The cycle of losing is over. We will be back and back and back, etc...

Bring on the 2013 offseason and season! RG3- get well during the offseason.

I appreciate the positive perspective but we actually won playoff games and advanced in the playoffs in 1992, 1999 and 2005 and came within 1 point of playing in the NFC championship game in 1999 with Gibbs as head coach. I liked that season better than this one but to each his own.

The last paragraph got me.

“I think people have really learned around here — if you’re down by seven, people aren’t packing it in,” said safety Reed Doughty, wrapping up his seventh season in Washington. “People aren’t getting that ‘Oh, the way things used to be’ kind of feeling.”

We have been blessed watching our guys pull the season out of the gutter and overachieve. We will always wonder what if - but it will be more constructive and fun to wonder what's next! Reed's statement above pretty much sums this season up. From dogfighting out wins to Rob's not wanting to come out of the game - we have been in every game this year and fought hard. That is something we haven't seen in a very long time.

Redskins - heal up. Spend time with loved ones, let this feeling sink in. We will not lose this game next year. We need you back, bring the fire, bring the pain, but most of all - bring us another division title.
