wantarace17
surprised how quiet this thread is with the potential for snow for the DC region. I feel really bad for those along the coast as they will probably get hit hard again.

I understand there's still a lot dependent on when (and where) the rain turns to snow, correct?
wantarace17
on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the lowest I would say a solid 5 at this point. On that note GFS has a storm on the coast with the low stalling off of NJ

Skinz4Life12
With storms like this they tend to create their own cold air. yea but ground temps are going to be too warm for anything to accumulate i would think
Popeman38
So now the EURO is predicting nothing for DC?
delmarvan
So now the EURO is predicting nothing for DC? 1-2 inches but it's only one run, might want to wait until 18z GFS and 00z GFS/EURO to get a clearer picture.
wantarace17
So now the EURO is predicting nothing for DC? lol yeah it happens sometimes these things swing back and forth. Either way snow flakes before veteran's day in DC is unusual.
Sticksboi05
This could get ugly again for NYC/NJ. By the time this thing approaches the NY-BOS section of I-95 it could pack wind gusts of 50 mph+. That along with heavy rain and flooding to areas with no more beach/dunes for natural protection = serious problems.
Btubes18
Not good for the North East again. Let's hope this is a moderate to low rain event.

Sticksboi05
Not good for the North East again. Let's hope this is a moderate to low rain event. We are talking coastal areas potentially seeing tropical storm force gusts of 60+ mph and serious waves. This is not good, at all. Especially for NY/NJ. At least they AGAIN are taking this seriously. Seems to be a lot more government officials respecting the models these days.
