  1. I'm hoping he's waiting to issue a judgement today, so he can put him in jail for the weekend. I know it's highly unlikely, though.
  2. Boom! One swing from Adley and we're back into it.
  3. James McCann with a walk-off, 2 run single. Loooong wait for an amazing ending!
  4. Perhaps you were. Glad to know.
  5. It's coming down pretty heavy and sticking in northern MoCo. As for MoCo being soft about delays/closings... Do you suggest they taken a harder stance on the importance of a school day versus the life of children at bus stops, which are next to slick roads?
  6. Appreciate the legwork. I was looking at the same thing. I'm gonna look a little deeper to see if I qualify.
  7. Damn. I guess I missed out on that one. Fml. Thanks for the clarification.
  8. To watch the game, you'd also need Pea**** Premium, which costs $2.99 a month for Xfinity customers. The filter makes me feel like we're discussing porn subscriptions.
  9. You can adjust the temperature on a vaporizer to decrease the harshness/density of the vapor. However, with 350° being the lowest setting at which THCa is extracted from flower, you are still irritating your throat inhaling hot air. My brother smokes blunts and only coughs when using my Volcano. I didn't have that issue at first. I actually would adjust the temperature to get that "smoking a backwood" harshness once in a while. Unfortunately, you will only know the impact through experience. I understand what you are going through right now. I battled with the same decision about a decade ago. Pulling the trigger was difficult.
  10. I have the same setup and am noticing the exact same thing about the battery of the Mighty. While I expected the life of the battery to deteriorate over time, it still lasts through several sessions before needing a recharge.
  11. I have a Volcano vaporizer by Storz and Bickel. I switched about a decade ago for a healthier option. Not only has it helped but I use less flower than burning/rolling. I also use the leftover vaped bud for making canibutter. It's different and takes some getting used to but worth it, imo.
  12. I saw y'all... she was right behind him while he was on deck. The sign, him and her were framed perfectly. Go O's... great game to be at!
  13. First and foremost, thanks for taking the time to type out an explanation, as well as humoring my questions. Most people are biased. China is no different. He is very well respected and when presented with an argument, he will cite facts, sometimes intertwined with opinion. Often times, he posts articles to evoke conversation. But to claim that he manipulates anyone seems rather obtuse.
  14. I agree with everything you've said, Burgold. And, viewing the word propaganda as not "necessarily a dirty word" is accurate. It can be used to promote or persuade for positive reasons as well. Bloodytusk, based on your reasoning, did you mean to use propaganda in the positive sense when responding to China?
  15. According to Merriam-Webster: Propaganda is today most often used in reference to political statements, but the word comes to our language through its use in a religious context. The Congregatio de propaganda fide (“Congregation for propagating the faith”) was an organization established in 1622 by Pope Gregory XV as a means of furthering Catholic missionary activity. The word propaganda is from the ablative singular feminine of propogandus, which is the gerundive of the Latin propagare, meaning “to propagate.” The first use of the word propaganda (without the rest of the Latin title) in English was in reference to this Catholic organization. It was not until the beginning of the 19th century that it began to be used as a term denoting ideas or information that are of questionable accuracy as a means of advancing a cause. I'm not too sure it's ever been used in neutral context. So, as an educator myself, it could be fair to say your professor may have misspoke.
  16. Archaic? Like early 19th century or earlier? I'm sorry to ask such mundane questions. Words matter, especially how they are used.
  17. Thanks for sharing! The interactive map he refers to at the end of the segment is linked below. https://www.ewg.org/interactive-maps/pfas_contamination/
  18. As a teacher in my 20th year also, thank you for saying this. I saw the tide turning a few years ago as well and began building my online classrooms. I believed I was ready for this... then virtual classes started and my audio cuts out every 5 minutes for 10 seconds at a time. We're resilient, though. Learn, adapt, teach.
