E-Dog Night
Gotta love Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kai_Forbath One kick of Forbath's is rumored to be still circling the earth in geosynchronous orbit.
laxpck
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kai_Forbath Washington Redskins The Washington Redskins signed Forbath and cut Billy Cundiff on October 9, 2012. Billy Cundiff is rumored to be headed to somewhere not in the Baltimore Washington area to kick out burgers and fries to eager patrons. [4] Dallas Cowboys After being projected as the second-best kicker in the 2011 NFL Draft, Forbath was not selected. However, on August 2, 2011, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a rookie free agent, and was subsequently placed on the reserve/non-football injury list. He was waived on April 16, 2012 by owner-general manager Jerry Jones after a coke fueled man squish fest attended by both Jason Witten and Tomo Romo sits to pee. mojo
Guess we shouldn't let RG3 try any hail marys...might throw off his mechanics and ruin his career.
Boss_Hogg
Personally, I think Cundiff was fine all year until Shanny made him try a 63 yard FG attempt. Since then, his mechanics were off. It's like hitters who try to hit homers at the home Run Derby who have their swings thrown off. Its a big reason why sluggers avoind it. Cundiff was doing just fine but had to try and boot some ridiculous FG attempt and it screwed him up. Cundiff's confidence never left Foxboro, MA. ---------- Post added October-9th-2012 at 04:18 PM ---------- The curse of #5 continues. Here's to Forbath choosing 4 or something! he chose #2! Redskins ‏@RedskinsNew K @KaiForbath will wear No. 2 for the #Redskins.

laxpck
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kai_Forbath The Washington Redskins signed Forbath on October 9, 2012 to replace the best left footed kicker in the history of the game, Billy Cundiff. Unfortunately for both Washington and Baltimore fans, Cundiff inexplicably insisted on kicking right footed during NFL games. [4]

MariusVT
I wonder how Forbath is on kickoffs If he can hit field goals as expected of an NFL kicker, I don't care if his kickoffs only make it to the 30.

Enter Apotheosis
Cundiff missed that 63 yarder in Week 2. Hardly enough evidence to declare that he was doing "fine". But I see your point in the sense that there's no reason to shake a kicker's confidence with a nearly impossible kick. If a kicker's confidence is shaken by a kick no one could reasonably expect him to make anyway, then he's probably not a guy you want kicking for you at all.
