PokerPacker
Put the cord through the neck of your shirt and let it come out at the bottom. I don't if you have seen other guys at the gym do this, but it works like a charm. I've tried that. They still find a way to fall out. I've just given up. But no worries, though, because I don't really get to bored at the gym.
Hiro
Mine change, and typically cycle through a lot of pop/rap songs that have fast and hard beats. Here are a few of my favorites that I have left in my work out playlists for years though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjHGZo4BDSk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t3NV-BSu6Q&feature=related

Destructis
I tend to listen to ZZ Top and AC/DC mostly. Both have a good, strong, and steady beat which is quick enough to keep me working hard.
DC9
I have been lifting for about 8 years, and I go through the same thing with the music where I have to change it up every now and again. I typically listen to a three different genres. I'll rotate between hard stuff, like your Morbid Angel's or your Rob Zombies. Then I'll rotate to more pensive stuff with powerful/motivational lyrics like Deftones, Tupac, Chevelle, Crossfade, and the "go to" of the Rocky IV soundtrack. Finally I'll get into what I like to call my "fun" music. I typically use this for cardio or on a Friday or whichever day the last lift of the week falls on. I will play a little Bob Marley, Sublime, Def Leppard (sp?), Poison, and other hair bands. Maybe give that a try bro. Bottom line, keep doing work son! ---------- Post added June-29th-2011 at 06:17 AM ---------- I've tried that. They still find a way to fall out. I've just given up. But no worries, though, because I don't really get to bored at the gym. Why not grab a shoulder case for your mp3? You can actually find them for pretty cheap (20 bucks or so). I've had a couple stolen, but they are well worth the investment. Headphones are always going to be an issue. Ugh....always.
Sikbug
I've been listening to a lot of Dubstep while running lately. For some reason it just gets me pumped up.---------- Post added June-28th-2011 at 08:11 PM ---------- I'll toss in Skrillex, Doctor P, and Rusko. Drum and bass does it for me, faster than dubstep mostly.
PCS
I get it, but for me that's the best part Especially boring cardio....it's nice to be able to zone out while on the bike or doing the stairs. I know that one. Long cardio sessions can be an exercise in boredom at it's extreme and music can definitely help. I used to listen to it all the time when running those 3 miles on the treadmill. Mind you, almost all of my cardio is in the interval training department so it's not as boring as it used to be. Like I said,I'm one of those exceptions when it comes to music and working out. These days anyway.
Chachie
Well I certainly won't be of any help. I don't listen to music when I work out. Yep. Of about 11 people ever who doesn't I think. I find it distracting instead of motivating. I work out with P90X DVDs so I don't use music either. However, when bicycling I love to listen to the Bee Gees on my iPod. That's right. I said it. I feel better now having gotten it off my chest.
