skinsfan44
That's awesome. Thanks for the heads up, Pain. I am looking forward to getting the Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Judas Priest releases. Wow, Armored Saint still around? Use to love those guys back in the 80's.

Baculus
I was a metal head back in the day (I guess I still am), but the only group I still really listen to out of that bunch is Iron Maiden (whom I have seen a couple of times over the past few years). Thanks for the post, though.
Metalhead
Nice thread. I love the new Fear Factory album, but hey, I'm biased as they are one of my five favorite bands ever. I'm looking forward to the new Maiden.
PokerPacker
I've seen it said that Bang Your Head by Dream Evil off their new album In the Night is reminiscent of the Painkiller album. This may not be a classic artist, but I see that album is your namesake so maybe you'll appreciate this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksYm9BIOK_M edit: On the topic of The Scorpions, here's Klaus Meine singing in an upcoming Avantasia album (The Scorpions will be touring with Avantasia band-leader Tobias Sammet's main band, Edguy, in May)

Gracelander
Ratt? Are you kidding me? Ratt?! I forget where, but you can hear snippets of the new album, I liked them when they came out, like alot of people I think I tuned around after maybe 88 or so. But this new album sounded alot like the earlier material. Not sure I like it enough to buy it, but will torrent it at the least
EBoz
Ratt? Are you kidding me? Ratt?! Warren DeMartini is an awesome guitarist. However, after a bit of research it appears as though he is no longer with them. It looks like Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot) is now the guitarist. Goskinz0721
If you are into live recordings of classic rock, the best site is: Wolfgangsvault.com Nobody compares to the live recordings they own. There's plenty of non-rock recordings as well. You can listen on-line for free and/or buy what you want.
Gracelander
I've been listening to the new Ratt for the past week or so and it's great! I knew the said they were going back to the original sound and i'll be damned if they didn't do it. Sounds like classic Ratt, sounds great cranked. Eat Me Up Alive give it a listen. Commander PK
New track from Maiden "El Dorado" (free download) and new album artwork. Typical Maiden excellence on the new track. Bang
Well, they aren't a metal band, but the new stuff by the Cars is pretty good. And I typically don't like bands trying to recapture past glory. ~Bang
