I haven't picked up the new Armored Saint yet, but it is said to sound like Symbol of Salvation, which is a very good thing.

I was a metal head back in the day (I guess I still am), but the only group I still really listen to out of that bunch is Iron Maiden (whom I have seen a couple of times over the past few years). Thanks for the post, though.

I've seen it said that Bang Your Head by Dream Evil off their new album In the Night is reminiscent of the Painkiller album. This may not be a classic artist, but I see that album is your namesake so maybe you'll appreciate this.

I forget where, but you can hear snippets of the new album, I liked them when they came out, like alot of people I think I tuned around after maybe 88 or so. But this new album sounded alot like the earlier material. Not sure I like it enough to buy it, but will torrent it at the least

Warren DeMartini is an awesome guitarist. However, after a bit of research it appears as though he is no longer with them. It looks like Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot) is now the guitarist.

Great song. Sounds like classic Ratt. I always loved DeMartini's guitar work. A very underrated player indeed.

They are touring this year too.
