Judas Priest: British Steel (30th anniversary Edition, includes Live DVD of show in Florida. I saw this tour, HIGHLY recommend the re-release if for nothing else but the DVD. Scott Travis' drumming brings a new level of intensity to the British Steel tracks) (Due May 11th)

That's awesome.

Thanks for the heads up, Pain.

I am looking forward to getting the Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Judas Priest releases.

Wow, Armored Saint still around?

Use to love those guys back in the 80's.

I haven't picked up the new Armored Saint yet, but it is said to sound like Symbol of Salvation, which is a very good thing.

I was a metal head back in the day (I guess I still am), but the only group I still really listen to out of that bunch is Iron Maiden (whom I have seen a couple of times over the past few years). Thanks for the post, though.

I've seen it said that Bang Your Head by Dream Evil off their new album In the Night is reminiscent of the Painkiller album. This may not be a classic artist, but I see that album is your namesake so maybe you'll appreciate this.

edit:

On the topic of The Scorpions, here's Klaus Meine singing in an upcoming Avantasia album (The Scorpions will be touring with Avantasia band-leader Tobias Sammet's main band, Edguy, in May)

Ratt? Are you kidding me? Ratt?! :)

I forget where, but you can hear snippets of the new album, I liked them when they came out, like alot of people I think I tuned around after maybe 88 or so. But this new album sounded alot like the earlier material. Not sure I like it enough to buy it, but will torrent it at the least ;)

Warren DeMartini is an awesome guitarist. However, after a bit of research it appears as though he is no longer with them. It looks like Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot) is now the guitarist. :ols:

Actually Warren is in the band, he is playing alongside Carlos.

I've been listening to the new Ratt for the past week or so and it's great! I knew the said they were going back to the original sound and i'll be damned if they didn't do it. Sounds like classic Ratt, sounds great cranked.

Eat Me Up Alive

give it a listen.

Great song. Sounds like classic Ratt. I always loved DeMartini's guitar work. A very underrated player indeed.

Bumpity bump bump bump

Duff McKagan's Loaded (Out Now)

Whitesnake "Forevermore" (Out now)

Journey "Eclipse" (Out in June, Wal Mart exclusive again)

There will be new Judas Priest, and Motley Crue releases this year also. The mighty Van Halen should have a new album out by the fall also, they are mixing it now, and Chickenfoot is returning with a new album as well.

Anyone that likes straight ahead hard rock/blues should listen out for Black Country Communion and their new album '2';

Band line up is Joe Bonamassa, Guitar; Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple and a bunch of other bands), Bass; Jason Bonham (son of John), Drums; Derek Sherinian (Dream Theatre and a bunch of other bands), Keyboards

They are touring this year too.
