Your 2010 draft wishlist

Ideally, I think most of us would like to trade back and accumulate picks. Assuming we stand pat with all of our current selections and do not acquire/lose any, here's my wishlist:

  • Rd. 1
    - OT Russel Okung, Oklahoma State
  • Rd. 2
    - OT/G Rodger Saffold, Indiana
  • Rd. 4 (in order of preference/availability)
    - WR Jacoby Ford, Clemson
    - CB Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Indiana (PA)
    - RB Ben Tate, Auburn
    - ILB Donald Butler, Washington
    - S Darrell Stuckley, Kansas
  • Rd. 5 (in order of preference/availability)
    - ILB Pat Angerer, Iowa
    - DT Vince Oghobaase, Duke
    - QB Jevan Snead, Ole Miss
    - S Robert Johnson, Utah
    - C Eric Olsen, Notre Dame
    - QB Jarrett Brown, West Virginia
    - QB Zac Robinson, Oklahoma State
  • Rd. 7 (in order of preference/availability)
    - RB Daji Karim, Southern Illinois
    - QB John Skelton, Fordham
    - CB A.J. Wallace, Penn State
    - RB Curtis Steele, Memphis
    - QB Joey Elliot, Purdue
    - S Aaron Webster, Cincinnati

I'll agree with the OP and take Okung and Saffold in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

4th Round (in order of preference)

Tebow QB

Selvie OLB

Tate RB

D. Warren CB

5th Round

Beadles OL

Ford WR

Snead QB

C. Scott RB

7th Round

Antonio Brown WR

Antonio Coleman OLB

Kyle McCarthy SS

So, my dream draft would be Okung, Saffold, Tebow, Beadles, Brown.

Of course, Tebow is the most questionalbe pick. I can't stand his politics and you have to wonder if his mechanics can really be corrected. In the 4th round, though, I'd be willing to take the calculated risk that he has both the ability and the desire to do the work.

anything but overrated Bradford.... i say if the Bucs pass on Eric Berry, we trade the #4 to the Niners for the 13th and 17th and swap 2nds with them, take 2 linemen and try to land Colt McCoy in the 2nd round. Colt McCoy is just as big a risk/reward as Bradford or Clausen at this point. but thats my opinion, Tony Pike is also someone i'd look at later on in the draft

The op said we can't trade down.

Scenario 1:

1.Bradford

2. Pouncey, Charles Brown, or BPA

4. Ben Tate or Montario Hardesty

5. BPA (looking toward Defense or OG)

7.BPA

Scenario 2:

1. Okung

2. Colt McCoy

4. Ben Tate or Montario Hardesty

5. BPA (Defense or OG)

7.BPA

Wishful thinking from me:

1- OT Russell Okung or QB Sam Bradford

2- RB Jhavid Best or NT Terrence Cody or OT Roger Saffold or QB Colt McCoy

4- NT Cam Thomas or RB Monterio Hardesty or RB Ben Tate

5- OL Zane Beadles or QB Jevan Snead or OT Selvish Capers

7- QB John Skelton

More realistic:

1- OT Okung

2- NT Cody

4- RB Hardesty

5- OL Beadles

7- QB Skelton

I'd crap my pants if Best slid to our pick in round 2.

1st - Bradford, Suh, Okung, Berry, McCoy

2nd - LT, Guard, Center, LeFevour, Best

4th - Guard, Center, RB, CB

5th - CB, Safety, RB

7th - best available at any position - QB, RB, OL, DL, CB, S

Sorry for the lack of names, but whatever is best available should be drafted, and it is basically whoever our coaching staff has higher on their boards. But those are in order of preference per player/position.

Trade out of fourth with Jags and get their 11th overall pick plus their 3rd round and 6th round picks

At 11: Trent Williams OT out of Oklahoma

2nd: Colt McCoy QB

3rd: Hardesty RB

4th: Jeff Owens DT/NT

5th: Mitch Petrus OG out of ARkansas

6th: Trindon Holiday Return Specialist ( I don't think he'll slip this far)

7th: ????

As long as the 'Skins don't draft clausen I'll be happy. I have many other thoughts about a preferred draft but I'll go with whatever happens happily as long as clausen isn't on this team.

I feel exactly the same.

I could see so many different situations happening all of which I could understand and be happy with, but this is really the only thing I hope doesn't happen.

That pretty much details my nightmare situation

Rams: Bradford

Lions: Okung

Seattle trades up from 6 to 3: Clausen

Skins: Screwed

I don't see any way that Suh isn't taken within the first 3 picks. And if that doesn't happen, Our pick would be very attractive to anyone wanting to trade up to nab the best player in the draft. That would actually be my dream scenario, to aquire more picks in this talent rich draft.

My mancrushes this year are Ryan Mathews and Maurkice Pouncey... I would be ecstatic if we could nab either of these two with our second round pick! The first pick, for me, should be used on either Bradford or Okung... I won't be surprised to see us take Mount Cody in the second, although I am worried about his weight issues and possible lack of desire... If those can be kept under control, he really is a beast of a NT...

Thing is, in order for this to happen, Tampa Bay would have to forego Suh or McCoy...either of which is EXACTLY what they need and want on their horrible d-lines. I'm not saying it won't happen, but it would surprise me if TB were to pass on Suh or McCoy...
