RichmondRedskin88
I got my PS3 in December of 2008 so I'm not sure if it was the generation before slim or the one before that.

kiingspadee
Those that are saying they have no issues thats a great thing HOWEVER people just remember there may be reasons they work. I would not really mess with things till you hear from Sony saying it's OK! I mean hey it's your console but obviously this is a worldwide problem more saying bad things than those saying everything is fine!
Patrick86L
I'm not turning my PS3 back on until I hear from Sony that they have fixed it. Although they better have it fixed tomorrow because I'm going to buy Bad Company 2 and MLB The Show 10 when they come out tomorrow.
mark327
I've been watching this thread all day from work and left a message to my son telling him not to turn on either of our 2 ps3's , one a fat 80gb and the other a new slim . to late for the fat 80 ps3 , he said that it wouldn't work last night for him. and that the date on it said 12/31/99 . I haven't tried turning on my slim yet sort of scared to . I hope this thing corrects itself or Sony gets it straighten out soon
Enter Apotheosis
Everything seems to be back up and running again. Looks like the "wait it out" strategy worked.

G.A.C.O.L.B.
Good to go here. 40 gig Fat. Yea I just bought Heavy Rain yesterday, tried to play it last night and wasn't able to, got the error. You gotta let me know what you think of the game when you do get a chance to play it. I was just waiting on God of War to come out in a couple of weeks but Heavy Rain looks so bad ass and so up my alley.

Disco Dave
PlayStation Network Service Restored http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/03/playstation-network-service-restored/ We are aware that the internal clock functionality in the PS3 units other than the slim model, recognized the year 2010 as a leap year. Having the internal clock date change from February 29 to March 1 (both GMT), we have verified that the symptoms are now resolved and that users are able to use their PS3 normally. PlayStation Network Service Restored If the time displayed on the XMB is still incorrect, users are able to adjust time settings manually or via the internet. If we have new information, we will update you through the PlayStation.Blog or PlayStation.com. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. The Evil Genius
I thought leap year and Feb 28th bugs were a Microsoft thing (see the day that the Zune died)... Glad I resisted playing my 60gb ps3 this weekend. Was going to play the GOW3 demo...
Ingtar
FAT DUDE wow. I would think his gravitational field would hurt the PS3 more than the clock error. It is bound to hit a wall or something somewhere in it's orbit.
