Brandon Lloyd Christmas
dont you have a JC hate thread to attend? im sure we could turn this into one. after all, this is yet ANOTHER QB that the team is linked to bringing in. just this one transcends the usual suspects due to his criminal involvement and snyders constant love for big names. and all this talk about bringing him in as some sort of "offensive weapon", where are you guys getting this? hes not a WR or RB, and he cant throw the ball. and were not just gonna start running the wild cat because michael vick got released from prison. Shilsu
If we do sign Vick - which I really hope we dont - you can write off the investment in those two 2nd round wide recievers for a start as Vick is incapable of getting the ball to wideouts on a consistent basis. In Roddy Whites first two years in the NFL he had Vick throwing in his general vicinity. Lets write off his rookie year. In his second year he caught 30 balls for 500 yards and zero TD's. Then Vick gets canned. In his 3rd year White, catching balls from such future Hall of Famers as Byron Leftwich and Joey Harrington and Chris Redman (really) caught 83 balls for 1202 yards and 6 TDs. Roddy White in Year 2. Five starts. Roddy White in Year 3. Fifteen starts. That's the difference. Not the quarterback(s).

Bzapf
Doesn't Vick live in VA? Aren't Vick and D-Hall friends? Doesn't D-Hall play for the Redskins? Aren't the Redskins located in Ashburn? Now it seems signing him just makes more sense. Although I don't think that was your point.

The only LINK that I have seen to bringing him in is that he ate in a restaurant close to Redskins Park. That hardly qualifies as an interest by the FO. And when contacted this morning the FO replied, "we aren't interested". Now, where have I heard that before. That right there. could up his chances of being signed. GaryGreenMonk
why does everyone want Vick here? are you crazy? we'll be like the freaking Cowboys... except all the hoopla will be negative... unlike anything they do... plus he was never even a good QB... ever... Matt Ryan came in and did way better than he ever did.... in his FIRST year....
Popeman38
So you don't think they would stand behind Todd or Colt? When Todd played the last 4 games in '07 that team of 53 stepped up big time and played their hearts out. So much so they looked better then they had all year and it showed by winning four in a row.Of course, that wouldn't have anything to do with Todd Collins having played in the same system for 10 years and knew the playbook backward and forward could it? JC had a decent season going to that point: 2700 yds, 12 TD, 11 INT in 12.25 games. Add the last 3.75 games in with similar numbers (3600 yds, 16 TD, 14 INT). Oh, and it was his first full season as a starter. He started 7 games in 2006.
DTN Redskin
It's simple, if the Skins sign Vick I'm done. The guy drowned and electrocuted dogs.BINGO. Sick friggin person. If anyone actually saw what he did I doubt he'd EVER be put back in the league. He hasn't even gotten in any trouble for animal cruelty just gambling. Complete POS. I don't care if he was in jail for 2 years.
Skinz4Life12
when watching the vick news last night every single highlight they showed was him scrambling. they didn't show one highlight where he actually threw the ball. he's entertaining to watch for sure, but the dude could never throw very well and after being in prison for 2 years who knows how good his legs still are. Why do you think he is being tagged by the likes of chris mortensen and others at such positions? He will do whatever possible to get back in the league and make money. His most likely way to do that is by becoming a more versatile player and step away from QB And so what if he was a criminal? You know how many players in the NFL are criminals? Do we forget that our own beloved Sean Taylor was once a criminal and considered a thug? Did he not turn his life around and become a model father / teammate / citizen? RonArtest15
the junks just claimed they de-bunked this rumor immediatley. can any one confirm this from listening to the show? Yeah...I heard the segment.... NONE of them believed Tanner Cooley. Tanner was getting his info from 3rd party sources....sources who THOUGHT they saw Vick, but only confirmed due to footage they watched on a BWF security camera. On top of it all, Tanner Cooley said that both Danny and Vinny aren't even in town. The junks were saying that this sort of thing always happens in the DC area...whether it is an athlete/coach looking to buy property, dining in a back room, or a random sighting. No one was 100% certain. Also, if Vick WAS in the DC area last night and in a public setting, don't you think in this day of cell-phone cameras etc., someone would have gotten a pic? DeAngelo Hall is going to be on the Junks tomorrow morning....I'm sure he'll weigh in on the Vick "sighting" LOL.

Popeman38
Heard it all before but it comes down to we won 4 in a row and made the playoffs because of the QB change, period.Right. Wasn't the Defense smothering Chicago. Or blanketing AP. Or absolutely befuddling Eli in the wind. Or trouncing a Dallas team that only had individual stats on the mind. It was all about the QB. Go back and look at the scores of those games. No team was putting up more than 21 pts against us (that was Min, and the game was over).
Skins21!
I wouldn't mind signing VICK as a kick returner and change of pace back. You could even run the wildcat formation and do a ton of things on offense with his speed and passing ability. Teams would have to game plan for him every week, even if he didn't step on the field. He should only cost the veteran minimum and everyone says he was a good teammate in the locker room. Look, dog fighting is bad, but other guys in the league have done worse. Ray Lewis held a guy while another member of his entourage stabbed him. Vick paid his debt over the past two years. He deserves a second chance but a very short leash, no pun intended. bch89
Vick's dog fighting operation went down in VA. Why is it so shocking he was in Virginia? Marcus also went to VT.

Because of the QB change. That was the ONLY reason. How come you JC detractors view things in such black and white terms. How many times have the other factors been brought to your attention? No team was putting up more than 21 pts against us (that was Min, and the game was over). Amazing what happens when our offense actually controls the game isn't it? Our D was playing better because the offense was doing more then 3 and out. Why don't you do us all a favor and go back through the other 20 or so threads where this has been discussed to death? You are just another Jason apologist in my eyes.
