FromTheUtoDC
Anyone know why he hasn't signed with us? I would rather him as a 3rd or 4th receiver and trade El for a draft pick (if we even can don't know since he just restructured)
BALLz
He was here for a try out and we didn't offer him a contract afterwords. Which plain and simple means that we didn't want him, i.e he not much better if at all than what we have.
Santana_Fan
He's not that good.
Stophovr6
No thanks. We just released Thrash. It's time to take a chance on youngsters.
NoVaSkins21
No thanks. We just released Thrash. It's time to take a chance on youngsters. Feel exactly the same way. Hackett would've nice a year ago, but not this year.
Soup
I'd rather stay with thrash, DJ Hackett has nothing to Offer except be injured the entire year.
DGREENHULK
Status: Unemployed....I like the fact we didn't offer him a contract and by letting Thrash go the organization has really raised the expectations for the young WR's..

Gibbs Hog Heaven
I'd take that on and throw Marvin Harrison's name into the mix. As time goes on, and he still remains unsigned and his options dwindle, surely he's worth a look at the least for a cheaper fee and lessor role. What better example could the young guys have to learn off than an all pro like him, who could still contribute for a year or so on the field? Hail. Monk4theHall81
I think the team likes the guys they have battling for the 1-2 spots behind Moss, Randle El, Thomas, Kelly. Roydell Williams, Marko Mitchell, Keith Eloi, Marcus Hagans and Trent Shelton will all be fighting for that spot. Should be a great storyline to follow once camp kicks off next month! SIXX99
We have good (young) talent at reciever, we don't need a washed up chump like Hackett.
Stew
I'd take that on and throw Marvin Harrison's name into the mix.. The fact that nobody has signed him, or that he hasnt even been going to teams and taking physicals, try-outs, etc raises my eye brows a bit. I have heard Mort say earlier this offseason that teams are questioning his desire to play. I dunno on this one. he could be an asset, but if his head isn't in the game, it could be a wasted flashy pick up, and we need to try and get away from that mentality in my opinion. I think hackett still being on the market after trying out for a couple teams speaks loud enough about his talent level.

Runs with Scissors
We already have a DJ Hackett type on the roster, his name is Roydell Williams.About the same age, stats are similar..why sign another one?
dellman
I recall a vet minimum being offered to Hackett who chose to move on to a Baltimore tryout before allowing the Skins the "privelidge" of signing him. However, thank goodness for Vinnie deciding to move on and not play the waiting game. He signed Roydell Williams immediately and said: Mr. Hackett..."BAM! take that! Redskins:Victory_or_Death
Would anyone really give up a draft pick for Randle-El? I think not. :2cents:

JuicyJ
yea, he definitely has a history of being injured.....and besides, we just signed Marko Mitchell &I like his potential more than DJ's experience and/or skill set~
