Your First or Favorite Car

My first car was a 1965 Mustang I got my junior year in high school. Paid $500 for and back in'73 it was in great condition; unfortunately I wrecked it the very next year.

Favorite car was a new 1986 300ZX I treated myself to just prior to leaving Mesa, Az for Rantoul, Il. I took it up the coast of Cali to Vancouver and then cruised to the cornfields of Illinois, a great trip. Drove it all over the country, from Panama City to Sacremento going on temporary duty assignments.

Have a '56 Ford F100 pickup in the garage waiting to get restored one day after the kids college is paid for. If I don't have to sell it to help pay for them that is.

How about you guys?

My first car was a 1988 Honda Accord, and boy that was one tight four cylinder, let me tell you. :)

I then drove a 1991 Maxima for a while, and well, it really endeared itself to me as the 4-door SPORTSCAR... I have stuck with the brand. My current and favorite car, I have driven for 3 years, is a 1995 Nissan Maxima. http://plaza.ufl.edu/admiral/auburn-maxima01.jpg

I call it the Enterprise. People love it. :)

My dad taught me to drive on a 71 Ford Maverick with 3 on the tree. He then gave me the car after I got my first job. Had no heat in it and very little power.

Bought an 81 Toyota Corolla sr5 and drove that sucker across the country. Got me from Alaska to Virginia with no problems. Loved that little car.

My first car/truck was a 1966 International Harvister Scout 4x4. It was, as far as I know, the first SUV. I got it from my father after he got his 1978 I. H. Scout II when I was 17 going into my seinor year at high school. Great little truck.

My favorite car was my 1970 Chevy Chevelle. It was not an SS, but it had a great black interer and I got it for $250.00 in 1983. It came with a 307 V-8. After 6 years and a boat load of money, I built it into a Pro Street car that had a LS-6 454 big block, tubbed with a narrowed Dana 44, 4-link rear supention, and it screemed at 10.30 at around 130 mph in the 1/4 mile WITH street tires.

To this day, I still kick myself in the a$$ for selling that car.

But, O' the memories.

First car was a 69 Volkswagon fastback. Great car, but leaked oil like hell. Got me where I wanted to go, until it burst into flames while I was driving to work one morning.

The car that I want for my "toy" is this. '69 442 convertible.

Sounds like my road. :)

My first car was a 92 Acura Integra. Another tight 4-cylinder. :)

My favorite car was my parent's 86 Maxima which I got to take to college. One day when my old Buick dies I'm getting me another one.

My first car, or truck that is, was an 87 Isuzu pick up... Boy was it cool having a brand new truck in high school..:D

My Favorite is my "toy"... an 89 Bronco that I have jacked up, 33inch BF Goodrich tires, Rancho Suspension, and a killer stereo with eclipse speakers, sony cd player and 2x10 subwoofer. Loads of fun on the beach...

My first was a 1987 Ford Escort. Typical first car, I guess. The only reason I bought that was the fact that earlier that week I put my dad's truck through a fence and he needed something to drive to work.

My favorite is my 1987 Monte Carlo SS. It needs a little paint and body work done (sister rubbed a concrete wall with the front end and a shopping cart hit the door), but she's my baby and after I tried to bribe my mom for five years to sell it to me, I'll never sell it, knock on wood.

First Car - 1977 Datsun 200SX - loved that little car, went anywhere and I beat it to death.

Favorite car - My current ride, a 1996 Toyota Landcruiser. It is my dream truck and I love my black beast!!

Honorable mention - My 1983 Nissan 4X4 Pickup with a camper shell. My dad gave it to me, it was all rusted out from being in TX, but that truck was a lifesaver many times - was my camping truck and I slept in the back. We called it the "Hotel Henry Bullis".
