First Car

Red, Chevy SS Impala , 2- door, $500 and folks paid 1/2.

Favorite car

Brown Malibu, 1980 Malibu that lasted until the neighbor girl rear ended me one icy day, loosened a gas line on the Carb, burst into flames the next day driving to work. The image of the local utility lineman using his fire extinquisher on the car is "burned" into my mind. LOVED that car.

Current

Mitsubishi Eclipse, great milage and sporty, but really low to ground, need help pushing out of it each morning.

Cannot understand why gravity get stronger as we age, shouldn't it weaken with expansion of the universe?

Hail to the 'Skins

In 1975 I got a white 1966 Mustang for $200. In 1978, I bought a brand new Chevy Van which I, naturally, converted into a Bin of Sin. Nothing like paneling, shag carpeting, a futon/bed and mirrored ceiling to get the ladies ready for action. Then I got married. :(

Later rides included a 1985 Escort, a 1986 IROC-Z with T-Tops (tied with the van as my favorite but sold it when I got married), my father's Oldsmobile ('78 Deltal 88), a 1987 Oldsmobile Station Wagon (the ultimate family car), a 1991 Ford Crown Vic and a 1998 Ford Windstar Minivan.

My first car is also my favorite car...a 1970 Olds 442 Convertible. Orange with the white racing stripes on the ram air hood, Hurst his & her shifter, 455 c.i. engine with 400 hp. I couldn't go more than 2 days without somebody leaving a note on the windshield saying "sweet car" or "call me if you are ever interested in selling".

From there I went to a '79 Pontiac Phoenix to an '89 Pontiac Sunbird to a '92 Ford Escort wagon (first kid arrived) to a '95 Windstar (second kid) to a '01 Mazda MPV minivan (third kid).

My 2nd favorite car is one I just picked up...a '99 Ford Taurus wagon with the 24v V6 SHO engine...sadly enough, I have myself convinced this thing moves pretty fast. It's not 442 fast but it's still pretty decent...at least I'm trying to convince myself of that fact...

...no, really...it is fast...

...I'm not kidding...

My first car was a '75 Toyota Celica GT. Fun, but it had fatal engine problems due to the poor care from the previous owner (despite low mileage)

My fun car was a '68 Ford Torino GT convertible (Only 5310 of them ever made). Had a 390 engine, great for college cruisin'.

Here's my first, certainly not my favorite.

'85 Honda Civic

1.3 L - 4 Cylinder

92 Hp Stock, probably about 50 when I got it.

4 speed manual transmission.

AM radio.

This is exactly what it looked like, except I didn't have the benefit of wheel covers.

Favorite car was a new 1986 300ZX I treated myself to just prior to leaving Mesa, Az for Rantoul, Il. I took it up the coast of Cali to Vancouver and then cruised to the cornfields of Illinois, a great trip. Drove it all over the country, from Panama City to Sacremento going on temporary duty assignments.

Have a '56 Ford F100 pickup in the garage waiting to get restored one day after the kids college is paid for. If I don't have to sell it to help pay for them that is.

How about you guys?

Mine was a '79 Mustang. It was the summer of '86. After my Soph. year of high school. My favorite car was my '90 Eldorado. But it was very undependable, and very expensive in repairs. But it looked great!.....lol

My first car was a 1995 300ZX. I had a $3200 stereo system put in it yet I forgot to get the hatchback part of my car dinomatted and I blew out my back windshield. I had to call my insurance company and told them that a rock had been throwen through it so all I had to pay was my deductible.

My favorite car is a Testarosa, but unless I win the lottery, I'll never have one.

Mine was a Toyota Land Cruiser 40 with deisel engine from my dad. It was very solid truck and never gave me a headache, besides rust.

I'm now driving a Toyota 4x4 truck and in a hunt for, of course, a '97 Land Cruiser FJ 80 (40th Anniversary edition). Also, whenever I have a chance to own another FJ 40, I'd definitely do it again.

My first car was a 1981 Pontiac Grand LeMans stationwagon. It was like 14 1/2 ft. long. I felt like a midget in that thing, but it was a tank. It was donated to me by a lady from a church that I never even met. Long story, but when it finally gave out on me, I donated back to the church instead of selling it.

My favorite vehicle was my Pathfinder. 1995 XE. I made that my Redskins Mobile. I had it decked out with Redskins stickers & window stickers in the front, side, & back windows. I also had a Peeing Calvin Pissing on the Dallas star with "Dallas Cowboys Suck" under it & my license plate read "DALLSUX". I also had the Redskins fight song car horn that could be heard for blocks. I miss that truck.

My favorite vehicle that I have NOT owned (or probably ever will) is the Hummer H2. That would be my next Redskins Mobile IF I ever get one.
