Kosher Ham
Love the 40th street pic Sikbug. Same one that I really like. Don't know why exactly. He has better work...yet for some reason that says something to me. Great work gentlemen. PCS already knows that I love his work, no need to give him a big ego. PCS
Thanks. But no worries. I know I still have a lot of work to do. It's an every day learning experience.
Sikbug
It's been awhile, with the off season I'm not on the site as often. I went to Japan again and bought another camera and a lens since I last posted. I upgraded my Fuji x100s to the x100T and I upgraded my 50mm 1.8 to the new version that just came out. Anyway, here's a few shots from the last few months. daveakl
Those are awesome pics but you don't have to lie about being in Japan. I don't see a single ninja or samuria.
PCS
Well hello thread. It has been awhile hasn't it? Nicely done as always Sikbug. Okay. Outstanding as always. Been busy myself and got way behind. Major projects on the house, chaperoning band trips, graduations stuff, ect. Finally getting around to getting the pics for the past few months processed and up and running. Getting NIK didn't help either. Great way to spend a lot of time in the digital darkroom is with that program. Still have some blogs to finish, but here's some of what I have so far. Sikbug
Beautiful, where is that? I've been wanting to bump this thread myself. PCS, I can't see any of your pics on here anymore, your hosting site go down? I've been trying to edit and post or take/edit/post a new photo every day this year. I think the only day I missed was when I was down for the play off game. I'll post a few. PCS
Nicely done Tor and Sik. Love the artsy stuff California I'm having some fun mixing and matching effects on some of my photos in my attempts to get artsy. Google NIK and I getting very well acquainted. Wife showing me around San Francisco right now. Maybe I can get something worth showing in this thread.

Califan007 The Constipated
How do you get the colors to look that...um...perfect? lol...
PCS
Good question. I shoot on a faithful setting and do very little manipulation with the colors. Just enough to make up for that setting. I adjust the white balance a little in post production and rely up the old eyes for the finish product. I think the color is helped a little by using the details enhancer from NIK,though I leave color alone when using it.
Califan007 The Constipated
I had never heard of NIK until this thread lol...I'm tempted to give it a try now, though. The blues in the sky and water and the beige of the building are captured perfectly.

PCS
Nice. Love that one. NIK is a hefty 7 in 1 program that had a pretty hefty price before Google bought them out. It's a plug in for Lightroom,Photoshop, and photoshop elements. Bit awkward to use at first, but once you get used to it,it's pretty cool.
PCS
2500 miles,2 high school graduations,(nephews),3 states, and 4 national parks,(plus passing through or by several state parks). Made the decision the night before leaving my dad's place in Colorado to go to Arches and Canyonlands. Turned out to be a great decision because those places are incredible. Sure, nothing there that hasn't been photographed a few thousand times before,(conservative estimate),but everyone sees them different and every pic is different in its own way. Put these two parks on your bucket list if you haven't been before. If you have,go back. We are. gbear
I took some cool shots on my recent trip to Yellowstone :http://thelifewelllived.net/2016/06/20/yellowstone-pictures/ Unfortunately, Extremeskins doesn't seem to like the extension on them, so I can't give a preview.
