Hunter_R
So right now, Brooks has a 37 yard net and Frost a 35 yard net. But there is a little consistency with Brooks with punts netting 39 and 35 yards. With Frost there is are nets of 43 and 24 yards. Thats some variability that I don't like. Does that 43 take into account the penalty at all?
jnhay
They don't post the hangtime on the play by play at nfl.com. Oh, I thought you were watching the game. The punt didn't seem bad to me, the coverage wasn't very good.
Thinking Skins
Does that 43 take into account the penalty at all? Was there a penalty? The PBP says that the play started at the 30, Brooks punted it 42 yards to the 28, and the returnman got 3 yards...then Jacksonville starts up at the 31. Seems to add up to me. Thinking Skins
Oh, I thought you were watching the game. The punt didn't seem bad to me, the coverage wasn't very good. I am, but we're playing to bad that I decided to keep myself busy by multitasking.
mcjunken
Does that 43 take into account the penalty at all? No, it doesn't take into account the penalty, just the fumble, which went out of bounds a yard or two behind the return man.
Thinking Skins
Does that 43 take into account the penalty at all? My bad, you meant the Frost punt....nah, that doesn't take it into account. As I look at the game stats though, they don't take the penalties into account in cumulation of net yards either.
bushwack
There was the last punt you'll ever see Frost kick for the Skins.

Thinking Skins
Ok, here's Frost's next punt...not very good a wobler downed at the 38 yard line and an ugly one.....for a 26 yard punt (no return).
Hunter_R
The, "Frost doesn't shank in rough spots" crew can suck on that last punt.

SkinsMaster88
And that is why Frost shouldn't be kept over Brooks.

TheDiplomat
Frost might have lost the job with that punt. If both punters are very close in performance, you take the younger guy. Brooks is it.
mojobo
looks like he just sealed the deal with that last punt.
isle-hawg
Brooks has more potential and an upside. I say we go with him. I agree. Perhaps Frost's shank paves the way for Brooks?
guinnesscrazy
More than anything else, Frost just finally showed his inconsistency. Sucks for him that he couldn't hide it for another 10 minutes, but I'm glad it came out. That 26 yarder should finally open the door for the coaches to pick Brooks. tonyriggins
Well quess I was wrong looks like Brooks will win it after that shank by Frost. Hopefully Brooks will improve alot, he had a very hard time beating Frost out.

Thinking Skins
Brooks's last one was 37 yards, but 11 yards on the ground....its looking like a close battle still.
Skinned
That last punt by Brooks was just sad.... He could have potentially cemented it!
