Going Commando
He's acting like a clown. This was a disappointing **** show for Wilder. The whole "I'm a warrior, I want a body on my record, I want to go out on my shield" mantra he keeps repeating is really weird and just makes it seem like he's trying way too ****ing hard. That part actually makes sense to me. Boxers are not logical people, otherwise they would be doing something else. I fully believe there is a type of fighter who would prefer to die in the ring than be perceived as having quit. Its more prevalent in other subsets within boxing culture, but it only stresses the importance of having a corner make the call so the fighter doesnt have to.

To me it seems like he's trying too hard to build this heel persona that feels really fake. You're right that it's a bad look to be throwing his corner under the bus. They did the right thing and protected his health and his business.

He suffered a defeat for the first time since 2008, he just has no idea how to cope with it

ksun247
Glad he didn't fire Mark Breland. Call me CRAZY, but I think he lands the lucky KO punch in the trilogy. Not confident to put money on it though. LOL!

Mr. Sinister
Also heard Leon Spinks is having a rough time, too Edited March 17, 2020 by Mr. Sinister
ksun247
Saw Spinks in Casino a little over a year ago. He was in bad shape then. He was trying to get money for autographs, photos and memorabilia. Boxing is a brutal sport. The old heads never made the money today's fighters are getting. This generation has it a lot better, but may end up in the same predicament, if they don't take care of themselves and their money. TradeTheBeal!
As an old guy, I remember Roger Mayweather’s career very well. Spent many weekend afternoons watching him rumble on ABC and, I think, HBO at night too. Tough, fast, cerebral. He was a great fighter in his own right. Ferocious action in this fight against Chavez at the heights of his powers.

You rate it above the Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez series? I'll be watching it again on Saturday.
Mr. Sinister
Watched Irish Mick and Arturo Gatti (my favorite fighter growing up) on YT a few days ago.
ksun247
Vazquez/Marquez and Ward/Gatti were wars. Manny/JMM was a war with crazy skill. I love all of them. Guess, I'll YouTube the Ward/Gatti trilogy and Pacquiao/JMM series later this weekend. Honorable mention to Ali/Frazier.

The 2nd & 3rd fights are better than any of the trilogy of fights between pac/jmm IMO Edited March 26, 2020 by StillUnknown

While you guys are busy watching those excellent classic fights, kill 2 birds with one stone, because you watch this great KO, but IN BETWEEN ROUNDS of those other fights...you only need 19 seconds to watch this masterpiece. 1
StillUnknown
Tua had some highlights. Not much of a boxer, but if he landed clean, he could do some damage Edited March 27, 2020 by StillUnknown

TradeTheBeal!
Just watched PAC v Marquez 2 and PAC v Cotto on ESPN. Man, 2008 Pacquiao was incredible. The handspeed, the footwork, the mental pressure...a killer of the highest order. John Wick, basically.
