Taylor 36
I got this from JLC's article: "As for Pinkston, Coach Joe says his signing had nothing to do with the injuries to the WRs. Randle El says he will be back very soon and Lloyd's shin splints have not calmed down, Gibbs said. he couldn't run today and was not on the field at all, but it's still believed he will be back to practice this week, Gibbs said. He has practiced once in nearly two weeks." I have searched every where and haven't seen one little thing about ARE being injured or anything. Does someone have any idea what this is about? turbodiesel#44
Rumor has it JG mentioned it in a presser. EDIT: yeah, JG mentions it at the beginning of his press conference on redskins.com Doesn't sound too serious.

theTruthTeller
Supposedly a quad injury. I highly doubt ARE is faking anything, since he has a golden opportunity to lock up the 2nd receiver position.
TK
Per Gibbs. On Antwaan Randle El’s (WR, #82) injury: “I don’t think he will be out long. It should be just a minor thing. It’s always a concern when somebody misses but with a little work with the trainers he should be able to get back in shape in no time.”
drowland
Comcast said ARE has a quad injury. They didn't say how serious. It didn't sound too bad though. They also said Wade sat out today with a shoulder.
More Complete
Just to repeat what everyone else has said... 980 is reporting that one of the reasons we signed him is because ARE has a quad injury. News to me. :whoknows:

ThomasTomasz
The team will probably take every precaution with Randle-El, since he'll be playing a huge role as a receiver and in the return game. Pinkston was probably brought in to give us an experienced body right now, and also to scare Brandon Lloyd into getting back on the field. Randle-El is a player, though. I can't imagine him missing much time with something that is probably just a muscle pull.

Jofizz
These injuries are scary, even if they aren't that serious. They could make or break our season.
Tastes Like Chicken
These injuries are scary, even if they aren't that serious. They could make or break our season. I wouldnt worry too much Jo, I think we'll be okay. We had a close call with Chris Samuels, but I've got a feeling that on 9/9 we're going to unleash the fury of this fully armed and operational battle station. MEANDWARF
Of the wrs, all I heard was Moss had a groin pull. Lloyd and ARE nothing mention. But like someone slse said, no one wants to play during the preseason(especially what happen to CP last year). I doubt Pinkston will make it out of preseason. Taylorfan2179
If I were Randle El and my team signed Pinskton to "take my place" while I healed I'd be insulted.

AceSkinsFan
Better to be safe in the preseason and not sorry in the regular season. Gibbs didn't say whether or not ARE would miss any game time either. I think we're assuming that, but from what I've seen that was never actually said. Can't hurt to have some experienced depth at WR right now either, we'll see how it plays out.
tswing
I have a feeling BLloyd's case of shin splints are really a case of tradebait-itis. I expect a trade soon....possibly for an OL or 2.
