Tastes Like Chicken
Some of you have the long-term memory of a flea. Remember a couple years ago when we had that kid from Super Fresh on the field with the game on the line? If Moss or Randle El go down, things could get ugly. So hell yeah, I'd sign McCardell all day every day for depth, with one small caveat- VM+I
Riggo-toni
If he signs, who's the odd man out: Thrash or Espy? You're kidding, right? Espy won't make the team even if we don't sign McCardell. He'll be flipping burgers with Jimmy Farris somewhere.
SWFLSkins
Seems like they are really unsure of the WR corps. ____________________________________________ No I think they are attempting to be "More Complete"
SWFLSkins
Can he rush the passer? _____________________________________ No, he takes his time with his routes, next question.
Siven
Seems like they are really unsure of the WR corps. How so? Wanting to sign a veteran reliable red zone target?
Califan007 The Constipated
As long as it doesn't cost too much and it's not to expensive or costly:paranoid:HTTR Or expensive...you forgot that one.

TLusby
Can he rush the passer? No, but Carter (RDE), Washington (LDE), Daniels (DT), and Griffin (DT) on the DL in passing situations can!
TheDarb
Looks like Coach Joe is puttin' the ol' '99 Jags band back together. Next thing you know, Jimmy Smith and Tony Boselli will come out of retirement and a certain "super smart" QB will be chuckin' it all over the place again... Flycoach
Why not? It's not going to cost us any draft picks. That's all I care about as far as this is concerned.
SkinsNatsFan
What do sports writers consider as league sources? Are agents in that group? I want to see the list of qualifications needed to be considered a league source by the press. According to the article he lives in Houston and would potentially be a starter there. How realistic are these "active negotiations" with the Redskins. Are they real or is this just another agent using the press to try to get more money for their client? GOSKINS_08
Dude is ooooold. Some people worry to much about age..Some people act like after you get past 35 you cant be productive anymore.
SonOfWashington
Haters step off! He could be our next David Patten! One catch a year! Woot!
Smoot Point Really
He is worth bringing in... He can be productive, and solid veteran depth never hurt anyone. Espy isn't exactly a proven NFL WR. Besides, we drafted him 15 years ago or so... Maybe he wants to retire a Redskin!
Dead Money
I have to admit, LAST YEAR I would have jumped right on this but I'm happy we brought Espy back and Thrash knows his role. We need to get younger and cheaper at the WR posityion moving forward so... No thank you unless you just want to retire a redskin (doubtful)

paredskinsfan
Sorry , I am usually positive about the skins moves but I see this as Patten version 2.
RunClintonRun26
I would absolutely hate this move . . . We have both Thrash and Espy to be the 4th wide out . . . why take up a roster space with an old veteran in a position that is not of need? Moreover, I am sure that McCardell would command a bit more money than what his position would be in Washington - a 4th or 5th wideout.
bschurm
I think I would rather have Keyshawn. He seems like more of a Red zone threat than McCardell at this stage in their careers. McCardell had 36 catches and no TDs last year. Keyshawn had 70 catches w/ 4 TDs. Not sure why McCardell would be that good of a pickup.
SkinsRMoney06
I bet hes talking to a lot of teams i dont see the skins making this move unless its there for next to nothing
COOLhandsCOOLEY
I'd much rather see us promote from within and hopefully Espy can improve on the flashes we saw last year. Who knows, this could be a Mike Espy preseason.
Tastes Like Chicken
Sorry , I am usually positive about the skins moves but I see this as Patten version 2. Patten was underwhelming, but he did have some unfortunate injuries. Say what you want about him, but that last pass he caught for us over the middle, hanging onto that thing showed that he is all man.
D'Pablo
If he can come in and produce like Irving Fryar did in 99', this would make for an awesome move.

When we played Seattle in the playoff game in 05 Jimmy Farris was our 2nd wide reciever. You never know who could go down so a solid, veteran pickup like that sounds good to me.
