BleedBNG
There were 6 named last year, so my 6 for this year are: Art Monk Bob Kuechenberg Bruce Matthews Andre Reed Derrick Thomas Roger Wehrli I just can't take any of these guys out for Tags... though I know the voters will feel it their duty to put him in on the first ballot. And of course I'd put Russ Grimm in there, but there's no way they'd vote 2 Redskins in at the same time. Russ might have to wait awhile because WE KNOW Darrell's going in next year, and there's NO WAY their gonna vote for a Redskin 3 years in a row. Cowboys and Giants twice in one year?... yes  Redskins?... no (unfortunatly)

Sonny Joe Hog
There were 6 named last year, so my 6 for this year are:Art Monk Bob Kuechenberg Bruce Matthews Andre Reed Derrick Thomas Roger Wehrli You know that Tagliabue is going in. Other than that, I'd like to see Art Monk, Derrick Thomas and Andre Reed go in this year. That would be a nice class. Like you, I also wouldn't be surprised to see Bruce Matthews go in. As for Russ Grimm, it typically takes linemen longer to get in, so I don't think he's overdue. The great Bob Brown only got in last year.

Om
http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=22257 HoF: Monk, Grimm Are Finalists Again January 10, 2007 By Gary Fitzgerald Here we go again. Redskins greats Art Monk and Russ Grimm are among the 17 finalists for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Both Monk and Grimm have fallen just short of induction each of the last two years. The exclusion of Monk, in particular, has become somewhat controversial in recent years. In 16 seasons--his first 14 with the Redskins--Monk caught 940 passes for 12,721 yards and 68 touchdowns. He earned three Pro Bowl nods in his career. Art Monk No other player in the Hall of Fame has caught more passes. One of the most popular Redskins, Monk was the league's all-time leading receiver when he retired. He has since been passed by a host of wide receivers: Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, Tim Brown Andre Reed and Marvin Harrison. However, receivers with lesser statistics have earned induction into the Hall of Fame while Monk has been left out. Monk also holds numerous Redskins team records, including most career receptions, most career receiving yards, most receptions in a single game and most receptions in a season. Russ Grimm Grimm played center and guard for the Redskins from 1981-91 and earned four consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl from 1983-86. Grimm was also named to the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 1980s. He was an original member of "The Hogs," Joe Bugel's dominating group of offensive linemen who set the tone for the offense during the decade. Grimm is currently serving as an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he has been reported to be a candidate for several head coaching vacancies this offseason. For more background on Grimm and Monk, as well as other Redskins greats through the years, visit Redskins.com's 70 Greatest Redskins page. Monk and Grimm were both integral in leading the Washington Redskins to three Super Bowl championships in 1982, 1987 and 1991. Running back John Riggins and head coach Joe Gibbs remain the only two Redskins from the team's Super Bowl era who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Another former Redskin, wide receiver Andre Reed, is also among the 17 finalists. Reed played the bulk of his 16-year NFL career with the Buffalo Bills, but spent his final season with the Redskins in 2000. The complete list of Hall of Fame finalists is as follows: Fred Dean, DE Richard Dent, DE Russ Grimm, G Ray Guy, P Gene Hickerson, G Michael Irvin, WR Bob Kuechenberg, G Bruce Matthews, OL Art Monk, WR Andre Reed, WR Charlie Sanders, TE Paul Tagliabue, former NFL Commissioner Derrick Thomas, LB Thurman Thomas, RB Andre Tippett, LB Roger Wehrli, CB Gary Zimmerman, OT The Hall of Fame Board of Selectors will cast their final votes on Saturday, Feb. 3, the day before Super Bowl XLI.
