[[ghost]]
Is it just me, or has Sean Taylor done this before? I seem to remember, in his rookie season I think, that ST picked up a punt that was previously progressed by a kicking team's player? If he's done it before, don't you think that ST knew what he was doing?
Joncevensen
ST is just trying to make plays. And right now,the way our season has gone, the Redskins need big plays. It was ST picking up the blocked FG that won us the Dallas game.
Vladimir L
Gibbs said it himself anytime ST has the ball in his hands he can make thing happen.
Jethrodsp
Sean was heads up there. He saw the Panther touch it and figured he had the opportunity to make a play. He knew the rule and Im happy he tried to make a play.
Rdskn4Lyf21
I think it was purely bone-headed.....they showed the replay and it looked like the Panther barely touched he ball a split second before he touched it. I think his intention was going for the ball before it was even touched, but only he knows that.
Bat~man
we are 3-7 and hes trying to ,make plays , stop looking for negatives , there are plenty things that went wrong to focus on one thing that MAY have went wrong but didnt /..... bobzmuda
Brilliant. You see the same thing on punt returns, once the return is touched by the kicking team, the return team can pick the ball up and either take the result of the return or take the ball at the spot of first touching. The exception is if there's a penalty on the return, but that's quite unusual.
NewCliche21
Brilliant. Sean Taylor is un effing believable. Doubt all you want, hate all you want, but he really is THAT good. That game was amazing.

I don't know, he certainly looked like he reacted when he saw the ball hit that Panther. we are 3-7 and hes trying to ,make plays , stop looking for negatives , there are plenty things that went wrong to focus on one thing that MAY have went wrong but didnt /..... I really hope you weren't saying that I was looking for negatives, because as my post clearly states, I thought it was a brilliant play by Taylor. I'll assume you weren't talking to me
Thunder7
Hind sight, no big deal. However, he needs to KEEP AWAY FROM THE DAMN BALL in that situation. It could have been bad, but wasn't, so no harm no foul.

If he did it with the rule in mind, he is BRILLIANT, if not, he is an idiot. Who knows?

chipman5544
hes made big plays before by scooping up the ball on the run(Eagles last year and Tampa playoff game), but that wasn't the right time to try and make a big play

Skins4481
Niether Brilliant nor an idiot. And yes I do believe he knew what he was doing. All he was doing was try to make a play. Our offense had scored only 3 points afterall.
skinsngibbs4life
Sean Taylor is a great player. But honestly, he just isn't smart. Between all the penalties, and some stupid mistakes/plays, he just seems like sometimes he plays without thinking.

NOVA2Tampa
ST makes mistakes, but so do other players...like Gibbs said, ST is a playmaker...when he gets the ball in his hands, magic happens...
[[ghost]]
I've been wondering why we don't use him in goal line situations- imagine sellers at TE blocking, Taylor as a FB, and Duckett lowering his head.
