skinsfan93
Did you hear his comments about the NFC East? Whoever comes out of the division won't go far because they'll beat each other up during the regular season. Well John, how do you explain the NFC East in the 80's and early 90's when it was considered to best division in football. Giants, Cowboys and Skins all won Superbowls in those years. Madden is over the hill.
diego1115
this isnt the 80's and early 90's....and he's right...it COULD happen....

Bang
Maybe you should note that the NFC East also has to play the NFC South, which is also one of the toughest divisions in football. In fact, of the entire NFL, I'd say those are the two toughest divisions bar none,, and by tough I mean capable of busting you up. So, yeah, more than half of our schedule is against our division and that one. Factor in Jacksonville and that is a tough road. ~Bang
SUSkinsFan
That is a definite possibility

Madden is over the hill. i mean, dude, technically by the logic you are criticizing him for, he isn't off. this year, and over the next few years, i have a feeling that the NFC East will always be as tough as it is now. each year WILL bring new challenges, but the old three other teams will always be ready for us. skinsfan93
I'm out of the philosophy that playing better competition makes you a better team. Hell, look at the Colts. Every year they roll through their division and then crumble in the playoffs. Competition breeds excellence IMHO.
Underwater Ally
I guess it boils down to the question of weather or not a tough division wears teams down, or only makes them better. Lets hope its the latter.
bbuzz1962
Hey guys, its his job to talk. That's all it is. He also said a lot of people feel this team can go all the way. It's preseason for the play by play guys too.

Slateman
Madden was right. Furthermore, he's forgotton more football while taking a duece than you'll ever know. He's right. This division is tough. The liklihood of one team running away with it is extremely small.
Teller
Yeah, John Madden's an idiot. That's why he's got a SB ring, a bust in the HOF, and has been the premier color guy for about the last 20 years. He doesn't have a clue.
Rdskn4Lyf21
Madden is getting senile. Leave the old man alone!
BigRay
I have never been a fan of Madden but what he said could possibly happen you hope not if you're fans of any of these teams in the NFC East but all the teams could beat each other black n blue. bleach14
i actually agree with madden on that note but did anyone else hear him use the word audibilize? thats not even a freakin word how about audibiles or audibiling.
BruinSkin
Madden is a joke, and anyone that enjoys his "commentating" is probably half a tard to begin with.
VAHOGFAN
40 Superbowls, NFC East teams have appeared in 18 and won 10 of them. Madden should rethink his statement.

hail2skins
Loved how both Madden and Michaels both said "Yeah, that loss in the second week to the Skins really took the wind out of the Cowboys sails last year." If memory serves correctly, wasn't Dallas in the playoff hunt until the last game of the season? And some of you think these commentators with their vast football experience have great insight.
